I've noticed a lot of providers using their own hardcoded/custom apps to provide a service such as the XC, Purple or smarters app and many more, Im a big fan of TiviMate myself as it gives a more familiar look especially for the wife and kids? Do these custom apps have any benefits over TiviMate and if so what are they?
From what I’ve learned over the years: Since every app has its own customization, nobody can pinpoint the issues when troubleshooting an issue if you are using an app that the provider does not approve. All tvm apps that providers provide, have issues since the dev made it that way (they are called modded). Having a provider app, means that if they change anything in the background, they will change for you without any efforts on your end. These are the superficial benefits, although, if you are tech savvy, there is no issue imo of trying other apps for fun and ultimately, it all boils down to preference which is the reason why i cut the cord in the first place

Some providers have their own version of Tivimate.
My iptv provider custom coded Mac app and that is all they offer. I am a Tivimate lover but sucks I can’t use them for this
Those custom apps have no benefits over TiviMate.... TiviMate premium is the way to go...
