How To Install Live Channels App on Firestick/Android for Live Streaming

*Hi, TVirl developer here.*I was investigating this issue. I've tried ~10 different versions of "Live Channels" on Fire TV Stick (3rd gen with Fire OS
7.2.2.8
) and most recent versions crash with the error:
Caused by: java.lang.SecurityException: Failed to find provider com.google.android.gsf.gservices for user 0; expected to find a valid ContentProvider for this authority
Another one was:
java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to get provider com.google.android.tv.livechannels.epg.provider.EpgContentProvider: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Google Play services is missing
So it looks like, missing
Google Play Services
breaks it.
It's a bit strange since according to my statistics there are Amazon devices watching TV with TVirl. But 99% of them are using Android 7.1.2, while most recent Fire TV Stick should be using Android 9. So there is a chance that something is broken in most recent Fire OS.
On the other hand, I would expect TVirl to work properly in Amazon's pre-installed Live TV App, since TVirl uses
TV Input Framework
supported by Fire OS. I will investigate further what is missing. But there is a chance that
allow-listing is required by Amazon
for TVirl

Does anyone know I wouldn’t be able to get the live channels app to open? It installs but then will not open. It flickers for a second then closes.
The tvirl app works fine but I can use it as the live channels one does not.
Thanks in advance.
