My provider is finishing m3u support but I use vlc on my laptop to record. Are there any programs for PC that will allow me to enter u/n and p/w and still be able to record ?

If they don't give you the new url for Xtream codes, you can only use their custom apps.
I have seen this with other IPTV providers.
Check out ProgTv it supports Xtreme Code API so you'll be able to log in that way
