Apple TV for IPTV any good? I am looking to cut my ties to cable TV and stream content. A friend told me to get the formuler z8 so I did but I’m really a Mac guy. Can the Apple TV do all the same things? Are there any restrictions on one vs the other? I noticed the formuler has an antenna but Apple TV does not. I’m confused. Help! Essentially I want to stream content. Please don't mindlessly bash apple products as that is not helpful :)
It depends on what you want to stream. If its any of the major players like Netflix/Prime...its Apple all the way for native 4KUHD and Dolby audio effects.
If its just IPTV, Z8 is very good.

Well, with formuler z8 based on Android you have wide range of services to choose from. Not many support Apple, for security reason, m3u files are not released hence cutting down on options. Formuler has great app mytvonline2 which easy to use.
I know Apple fans don't like when people trash Apple products but while I agree that sometimes it is not warranted but you have to understand that anytime you venture outside the apple ecosystem, apple products are NOT good. IPTV is one of those areas. IPTV is mostly an illegitimate service. Apple products are not good with IPTV.
I have Z8, Shield and Apple TV 4K. The only difference is Apple doesn’t have an abundance of IPTV apps compared to Android. Having said that, App Store has a wonderful app called iPlay which is as good as any other IPTV app in Google Play. Personally, I’ve gone full circle and came back to the Apple TV 4K because it’s the best all-around device including for IPTV.
for IPTV then the Z8 but anything outside of that the Apple TV is king next to the Nvidia Shield
Im looking to get the Z8, but I’m not sure If I get a subscription to iptv can I use the portal or log in info on a second box or it’s unique to only one box. So I would have to get a new subscription for a second box?
Formuler Z8 is better than Apple. MOL2, Remote, everything.
If you're invested in the iOS ecosystem and happy, Apple TV is a no brainer considering its thoughtful and thorough integration.
Only resen to buy formuler is the remote Or els is shield is a lot better.formuler have mot2 but implayer is good copy and tvmaite is good. Apple TV is good but not best for iptv Beauce iplaytv buffer but have pip with one Conection. But you have IPTVX if you like the UI And iptvsmarters is working good but boring when change tv Chanel..

I haven't used apple tv for IPTV but i do have a Formuler z8 pro and it's amazing.
Z8 Pro all the way, its got a brilliant remote
