Seller's preferred payment method is E-transfer, Should I be worried about getting scammed ?

by BlueBerry7200

I'm really scared of getting scammed lol, I came across a seller that accepts e-transfer and I think also PayPal. I got a trial and it was great but now it's time to buy a subscription.

Since you can't refund or reverse an E-transfer, I'm worried the other guy won't give me my sub or stop responding to me.

Any red flags I should know about when purchasing from a seller ?

Well, don't buy a while year of it. Buy 3 months of it. If in fact he scam you ,well you didn loose much anyway. That's the name of the game. Unless you have a buddy or someone that you trust that can recommend you to somebody that won't scam you.

You can totally reverse etransfer but it will require a phone call to Interac and your Bank will need to be involved.

However, since you're only going to pay 1 month at a time (because that's what smart people do!) it's really not worth the hassle to get ten bucks back.

Be a good customer, polite and not demanding and your reseller will be around for years to come.

best to have an account with low balance that you refill when you need - if you are using any kind of etransfer with any firm you don't have confidence. This holds for any transaction
