You can use the CosmiTV app to record, but in order to record with any app that has recording capabilities you need to have a service with multiple connections.

If your service is a single connection service then you can't watch tv while recording. For single connection services CosmiTV allows you to press record and then go to DVR section and watch the program you recording from there while is recording.
