When using a VPN on my Formuler box, it ONLY works if I select a UK based IP. If I choose any other country I get a 401 error.
However, it works fine on a computer and other devices no matter what country I choose.
Is this a common issue, maybe it's an issue with the Formuler Z8 box? Or the tivimate software?
ive been with my provider for over a year , never used a VPN and no major issues ! it was in rare occasion my iptv did not work , I guess my provider is stable , but as I said before I never used a VPN should I use a VPN ? I mean for security issues ?
You should be asking the makers of the VPN, just sayin'
This is an issue with your provider (and it's likely done on purpose) Many IPTV providers block access to their services in the country the servers are hosted in.
This makes it more difficult for copyright holders to take down their service if they cannot access the site from the country were the laws reside.
To be honest, you wont see a benefit from using a specific server anyways as latency makes very little difference when dealing with IPTV
Yeah you need a VPN. some providers in the UK (virgin, Vodafone, Eir) block Iptv during big soccer championship games.(so, for the next two weeks). So usually 3hrs a day during the game playing iptv live TV won't work. VPN is the only way around it, or just learn the times of the games and know you can't use your IPTV during those big games
