I have an LG "Smart" TV and recently turned on the IP TV setting which got me hundreds of streaming TV channels. However, almost every single one that I choose just tells me to go install the Pluto TV app. What's the point of having all these iptv channels if they just tell me to go install an app instead. Seems kind of stupid to me.
That's LGs built-in LEGAL IPTV channels, this sub is for IPTV by other means.
Samsung also has their own called TV Plus. You should ask in an LG sub about those channels requiring Pluto to be installed.
The only smart tv is a tv that has an external device connected, ie firestick, android box, game console, shield etc.
You won't get what you're looking for built into a tv.
Right, get a separate device if you want iptv. TV’s are not good for iptv specially Samsungs and LG (limited with only being able to download their apps) because they don’t have full android os
