My iptv service works fine on my phone while my firestick 4k, running at the same time on the same wifi, often buffers (even when 150mbps service not being used by any other device) . Is the firestick just not quite enough, horsepower-wise? Cleared caches, storage, etc. Some players work better than others. Any advice on what app I might have better luck with? Thanks.
Make sure you have over 1 GB of storage free on that 4K stick and instal Tivimate. I've never had any issues after making 1.5 GB of storage available.
The first app you should install is Analiti. It will tell you if your network is the issue or just shit providers.
Hardwire the stick....wifi can have so many issues...and you can't "see" what the issue is....Amazon has an adapter for ethernet. $19...
I also had this problem with the firestick.. While the ethernet adaptor did reduce the buffering, it wasnt completely eliminated.. I had a 200Mbps connection directly wired too..
I ended up just getting an nvidia shield, very pricey for what I use it for but it doesn't buffer anymore

Ask your provider to send the APK , my provider sent me a link where i downloaded and installed .
Friend of mine suggested stbemu pro on firestick and it seems to work fine but not sure how good compared to tivimate.

It maybe because you’re running 2 connections at once. If you’re only paying for 1 connection with your IPTV provider then it will buffer on the second connection
