Extracting and using EPG from m3u source?

by blug_fred

Hi!

I subscribe to a service which only provides an m3u stream. I use it on various OS and struggle to get EPG. The seller told me 'EPG comes with the code, if you can not get it loaded you might try another APP such as net iptv or duplex player'. And indeed I did see (well not really working today...) EPGs using Duplex player. But on Samsung TV it's not available, on Linux neither... so is there a way to somehow extract it and send it to the XML EPG field for example?

Likewise on IPTV Smarters Pro EPG is not detected and it is not clear to me how to eventually add it.

Thank you for your explanations or hints in the matter.

Change get.php to xmltv.php in your m3u url and you'll get your EPG link, provided that your provider uses xtream codes panel (or just simply log in to the app using xtream codes login if the app supports it, it's easier this way).

Try setting up using Xtream codes

I really don't understand what is happening. I can see replies in email notifications but not here., except for Wesk08 response.

SaltRaspberry8 suggestion totally worked on the first client I tried. So I guess my problem is solved. Thank you very much.

EPG comes with the code is for XC login. If you are using m3u,the epg is a different url than your playlist url. Did you get another url for EPG, or is your provider telling you that is not available.
