Switching to external VLC player virtually solved all playback problems

by Va_Fungool

Recently got a shield pro and am using implayer with my IPTV service.

I was having lots of issues of channels not loading or constantly freezing. None of the FHD channels were working at all.

After switching to EXTERNAL VLC player in the settings everything plays beautifully without a hitch. Its a brilliant experience now.

Just wanted to share that in case others are having frustration with their iptv as well

Tivimate is an app that works well also. Great interface.

I find MX Player works the best for me on the Fire Stick 4K. But at times I switch over the VLC if MX Player is giving me problems.

Does anyone have their settings posted online somewhere or can they list all the settings that they have changed to make their app of choice as perfect as they have found it to be? What I mean is some settings I don't really understand what it does and have it enabled sometimes to disable it.

Or like for example in Fire Stick you can do pass through so does that play a role in decoding the audio on the Fire Stick versus your TV or the stereo system that you have connected?

Lately I found that it's my audio that seems to be giving me the hassle which is tripping up the video. Sometimes it feels like I put a cast on the broken finger and I break my ankle. In other words I change one setting and then something else messes up so I can't seem to get the perfect settings for any specific app on my Fire TV Stick 4K

My vote for Tivimate as well. However VLC has always been the Swiss Army Knife for video playback. I have used it on Linux, Android and Windows and it has never failed to play a file well.

Tivimate is awesome for iptv but not all providers let you run their service on it. Mine does luckily lol so fast and lovely epg guide with tivi
