Sound out of sync?

by Chris54988

Hi I’m new to using IPTV so what I’ve done so far is bought a 4K firestick and loaded two different providers apps onto it, I know I can’t name them so for those in the know already you’ll probably guess from one being another word for forever and the other is a club for players. The first one I signed up to had a 1 second delay with the sound, I tried VLC, different encoding options with the software/hardware option etc but it still didn’t sync up so I cancelled that one and went to the club provider. It’s still the same problem? What’s the best things to try as the provider just said they checked the stream and it’s fine, obviously it’s something to do with my set up

Have you tried a dedicated IPTV player? Tivimate is considered to be the best, not far behind is iMplayer. Then there is XCIPTV.

They all should be able to process your IPTV properly, and at least in the cases of Tivimate and iMplayer you can adjust audio offset if needed.

Firestick audio settings, set to stereo works for me.

It is "VLC".

Initially, I didn't use any providers or IPTV as I only watched from my local network to stream files to both of my 4K-Firsticks and the first player I tried was VLC and oh what a pain that was with all the audio-out-of-sync issues that was very common for others that used VLC on the FS.

What became a nuisance for me was that initially, it didn't have a global setting as I preferred to watch consecutive videos so the developer added a global setting, however, it had a bug that when the following video automatically played it was still out of sync and I had to manually stop the video playback, re-adjust the sync setting manually each time and continue playing.

The dev was unable to reproduce this issue even when I provided all the detailed step-by-step instructions that worked on both of my Firesticks. Nevertheless, I moved on to a much better and superior player called "Nova Video Player" for all my smb files, unfortunately, Nova will not work with "https" streams such as with IPTV or VOD.

You could try MX player which has a proper functioning global audio sync setting that works well.

I assume that you are referring to VOD from your provider(s), if not, is there a reason as to why you are not using Tivimate as it works well with regular IPTV streams without sync issues. I have also tried Smarters and Kodi's simple IPTV client without any sync issues.

This issue is resolved in STB Emu app with the Media Player option set to "auto"
