No, you can't use MAG credentials on VLC. If you want to use VLC, you need an M3U link. You can also try Smarters IPTV.

Any responsible provider wouldn't give out an m3u for security reasons, but they should have a web player and would be way better than using VLC. They only work in Chrome though by the way.
