Can i convert an M3u URL to an m3u8?

I have been going back with my provider, and although I was given an m3u URL as well as xtream codes etc, they do not exclusively give me the m3u8 links per stream. Looking to add my IPTV links into my stremium account and I'm hitting snags in doing so.

Instead of trying to feed individual m3u lines into stremium, why not just use the xtream codes into Tivimate or iMplayer or XCIPTV?

if you download and save the m3u file you should be able to see all the links in plain text if you open it in a text editor like notepad++
