I know this seems like a stupid question but hear me out. I just recently found out that it was possible to do streaming on a Blu-ray player, at least Sony and the Samsung ones. I was thinking that maybe it could be possible for me to install a IPTV player on the Blu-ray system so I have a Blu-ray and cable box. Thank you for reading!

Just get a firestick or the likes, they're cheap as chips these days 👍
If your bluray player is android then sure. You can even use IPTV on a Samsung fridge with Android.
You can still sideload on app in developer mode on Roku, but it’s not as easy as having a fire stick.
You can buy a stick amazon/roku for $30 and it's a lot more fun to use. I tossed my blue ray out years ago.
I seriously, seriously doubt it. I don't know much about those players but unless you have access to some kind of built in app store that carries an IPTV app and allows you to install it or find a way to side load the app that is compatible with whatever Operating System your Blu-Ray player runs on, there is no way to get it working.
