Smarters buffering question

by 1surfcaster

Have fire tv hard wired, my provider is centurylnk, fiber internet, seed test says 208 mbps download 209 mbps upload, ping 4ms. Hard wired because I had pathetic internet until recently, now I have fiber wasnt an option before. Tons of buffering so I got nordvpn, first try college football not 1 buffer all day. Next day lots of buffering. Cleared cache made sure vpn was on. Changed countries on vpn still buffering though not as bad without vpn. Not much else using bandwidth, lights, cameras, nest tstat, vacuum. Wondering if I pick a location on vpn closer to me would that help? Maybe thats why no buffer the first time I got lucky on location? I've been letting vpn chose location I just tried different countries to see if that would help. Have a feeling problem is on smarters end, too many customers for their servers, thoughts? btw I'm a noob at all this.

Smarters is only a IPTV PLAYER and NOT a IPTV Service… So the problem would actually be with your IPTV service and not the actual player.. Have you tried reaching out to your IPTV service to see if they’re having issues…

Hey

1-May I ask where your IPTV provider host their servers?

2-Can you run this on PC using VLC player? thats the most flawless way of evaluating an IPTV feed.

3-You mentioned you had all running fine for a day during your favorite live event and next day everything fell apart. I dont thing Smarters has anything to do with it.

4-Try getting a free trial from another provider and compare.

5-The speedtest you ran surely was against a server near you and that speedtest does not count. See where your provider host their servers that you are connecting to and then find a test server on that location on speedtest app/website and see how stats are.

just an FYI....if you were watching WITHOUT a VPN and no buffering then after you got a VPN ...major buffering your ISP was most likely throttling your connection and that's why you were having issues with buffering. i also have Nord and i recently found that if i use a european server...like denmark, sweden or netherlands during the morning/afternoon....then switch to a north american server in the evenings like seattle, denver, salt lake city...i have no issues.try to avoid the major markets like LA,NY,Chicago,Boston,Philly for obvious reasons.
