IPTV Player recommendations for a LGTV running WebOS

Hi all,

I’ve seen a few of these posts but they’re all fairly old so wanted to seek for some more updated advise.

I’ve recently found an IPTV supplier and I’m having troubles finding a good media player so I was hoping someone would have some good recommendations/ advise.

Here is a list of what I have used/tried before;

Duplexplay - Brilliant streamer, unfortunately discontinued selling activations :(

Smart IPTV - Worked but the GUI was awful

Ott+ Player - Potentially the best I’ve used GUI wise but streams would buffer a lot, research showed it’s due to the hardware of my TV not being good enough

Smarters IPTV - Another brilliant GUI but was unable to authenticate my log in due to my provider not being on their DNS whitelist thing and it costing $150 for them to do so..

Does anyone have any advise for me? Preferably without having to pay for an Android box, Firestick etc but if I have to I have to

This has been my goal this last fortnight. New to all of it. I bit the bullet and bought a Fire stick Max. My LG webOS is very, very lazy by comparison in speed. (Menu's/scrolling)

Ultimately I had no way of running my VPN through webOs. My router didn't support VPN configs and channels would not load without the VPN running (UK)

I've learned a lot since getting the fire stick running, I found TiviMate to simply be in a completely different league to every other app and I tried a lot, including all those on the WebOs store. Both in Useful UI design for actual TV use and in sheer number of options and settings.

The fire stick runs the VPN in the background. We have abandoned the TV's Magic wand remote, surprisingly, as the fire stick controls everything that much faster.

Tldr: Buy the fire stick, Probably.

Try smarttvclub it’s in the lg content store, really easy to set up & works fine.

Smart STB seems to be the easiest of them all listed here. Won't work with every IPTV out there but when it works, it works really well and it's free for the providers to support it if they want to.

Pfoeh this doesn’t give me much hope.

I was hoping there’s be a legal streaming app for LG WebOS to watch European channels (Italian especially) so I can cancel my tv subscription

Implayer if it's android based, I gave up finding anything as good for webos and just bought a nvidia shield tv, it also contains a pretty impresive upscale, well worth the money
