Hello, as the title says-I was wondering if the Apple TV is any good for IPTV. I have heard some people say it is awful and others say it is alright. I am thinking of switching from my Android TV device to an Apple TV one as Apple TV has better accessibility features (assuming they work in other apps, would automatically beat my Android TV device).

There’s also IPTVX to try. I use that and iplay. Wish Plex would allow groups then it would be my go to.
Using iprotv in all my Apple devices and it works well for me! Everything is synced with iCloud over my devices !

I use Smarters on my IPad. It’s fine but once you use Tivimate on Android, ever else seems like the Stone Age.
I use IPTVX on Apple TV and it works well, you can try it for a week or so.
I have an android box for iptv in one room and wanted another for the other room. Bought an Apple TV for it. I sold the Apple TV box after 1 month. Worked perfectly for everything except iptv. My advice is if you want the Best, Buy an Nvidia shield. It is worth every penny and you will need a few for it.
I use iplaytv app on Apple TV and happy with it. Apple TV performance much smoother and faster than my Firestick running Tivimate even though Tivimate may be the better player.
Have firestick and tvimate on one tv and Apple TV and IPTVX on another. I like the apple Tv and IPTVX by a long shot
Yeah, it’s great. iplaytv works very well. I switched over to xsteve on my Plex server (and of course the Plex app on the ATV4k) just so I could have real-time fluid rewind and recording. Tivimate on my Shield is better in some ways that iplaytv, but we’re an Apple family and control our ATVs with our phones so that’s what’s used pretty much exclusively.
Formuler box with mytvonline app is incredible. You won't regret the app, but it's only available on formuler devices.
Its all personal preference really…. If only IPTV, you can get away with a few apps. If you plan on doing more than IPTV, Android is the way to go. At the end, Chevrolet is better than Ford 😁
It's not so much about the hardware itself but about what software is available. Let's face it, the iptv player that provides the best iptv experience is Tivimate and that's only available on Android TV. Apple TV will work fine but you just won't get to use what is considered the best app.
