I recently bought a 4k firestick because I assumed I needed it for IPTV but through my struggles of trying to get set up I have noticed you can add IPTV to Samsung smart TV and xbox. Is this the case and did I just waste money on a firestick?

I have smart tv's and always use 4k firesticks. They're smooth and they just work.
Nope. Get TiviMate on it and you're miles ahead of anything besides an Nvidia Shield
Firestick has the best options
no, firestick is going to work the best
Not sure how well IPTV apps run on SmartTVs. XBox may be OK. I use Firesticks and Shield TVs for my IPTV and they work very well. Plus they are portable so you can take it wherever you go.
I would of gotten the 4k max for 10 bucks more, even cubes are on sale right now and if you want the best of the best, go Nvidia shield. Though, 4k sticks are sufficient and easy to load, it's just any fire sticks, require maintenance with space and and restarting device daily to keep things running smooth. Definitely worth the price if you don't have to much funds.
You didn't waste your money, you just need help in setting up your Firestick to stream your IPTV. Some providers have tutorials to allow you to do just that, but here is a good place to start. Begin by installing Tivimate. It's probably the best app out there for streaming IPTV.
Just go with that best and sideload TiviMate on your Firestick
I have a new Sony mobile android tv and a fire stick handle iptv way better.
You can use Nanomid iptv and duplex iptv app on Samsung works good. Duplex works with my providers better for their epg info. I’m using a chromecast with Google for iptv also really just a preference get faster speeds on that than my tv
Install implayer on the firestick and you're good to go
Looks like this. I got one behind my tv and one down low behind my wall unit. The HDMI cables are behind the wall. If I want to add devices I don't have to worry about running new cables.
Check your TV throughput. Most of them suck.
It's just a nicer interface. No ads. Performs about the same
There’s many different IPTV apps on the App Store
No, out of the 3 things you have, the firestick will be easiest to setup for IPTV.
