Yes formuler is a great box for IPTV use, great remote and feature rich IPTV player, box itself is overpriced compare to other Android boxes.

You could also buy a FireStick or Chromecast with Google TV and install TiviMate on them.

If all you ever do is IPTV, then a Fire Stick or Chromecast with Google TV as the hardware then TiviMate for the iptv software is all you need. Set TiviMate to auto launch on boot and from wake and you are set for less money.

I have two Nvidia Shields and would get another one if I needed it. They’re brilliant.

Nothing beats MOL2 for IPTV and recording. GTV is my go to.

Just picked up a Firestick 4k Max for $59 AUD and installed TiviMate Premium and works fantastic. I prefer the Firestick with TiviMate over my Formuler Z Alpha using MyTvOnline2.

A simple Android box is more than enough if you’re going to use it only for IPTV. You’ll pay around 40$ US or less for one.

The Mytvonline2 player that comes with the Formuler z8 has a epg that is very comparable to Tivimate and its free. The box is also great for mac type services so sometimes it boils down to what type of services your going to be using.

I got a generic android box a few months ago (about $40-$50 USD) and haven't had any problems watching IPTV with it. I tested 2 models and there was basically no noticeable difference in terms of performance (the X88 Pro and the T95). The biggest weakness for me is the remote, which is very basic but I don't mind (the remotes were the same for both boxes).

In terms of software, I run tivimate and sometimes NordVPN in the background and no problems so far.

If I end up getting another box I'll probably try an Nvidia Shield as it's also Android based and more powerful. I was also considering the firestick but its OS and apps seem a bit more restrictive although it also supports tivimate and most of the popular apps from what I gather. To me the most important is the flexibility the OS gives you and the android systems seem to be the better ones.

Another thing I read about is that if you update Netflix or Disney in the generic android boxes (I don't have either) they may stop working, so if that's something you're going to use probably go for the Nvidia or firestick.

The Chromecast with Google TV and the Onn 4K box are both excellent for streaming and will save you money over the two you mentioned. I have an Nvidia Shield, a 4k Firestick, a Chromecast with Google TV, and the Onn 4K box I would never have purchased the Shield or Firestick if I had purchased the other two first.

Also take into account that if your using netflix that the forumler box dont get it. Firestick and shields do. I love my Forumler GTV but not having the netflix certification is a pain in the ass for the wife.

I've used all generations of fS never any bother, bought a Nvidia shield and its excellent, if it's for streaming only and you dnt want to spend big, buy a 4k firestick

I would definetely recommend the nvidia shield pro with a addon flash drive installed for more memory. or the nvidia shield stick is great also for $50 cheaper

Formuler boxes all day long are best for iptv come with great remotes and excellent software. For anything else shield or firestick

Nvidia is king and anyone who says different obviously doesn't know what is what.

I have to say, girls and boys, you have no idea what you're missing out on by not having NVidia Shield or Formuler. I would NEVER go back to those crappy android boxes. The Shield is amazing. It's lighting fast. The support is amazing. I asked them to add KEF LS50WII the tech sent me an email saying they would. I had an issue with my remote, sent it in, they sent me two free replacement remotes. Can't speak highly enough of NVidia.
