Recommendation for a TV

by hideshimori__

Hello guys, I’m a student and I’m about to move in alone in few days. I came here because I’m in need of a recommendation and I want your advice.

I have a budget of 200$ - 300$ and I want to buy a tv that allows me to install an app that can run my IPTV suscription. For the moment, I use my suscription on my computer with the IPTV Smarters app so my preference goes to a TV that can run this app but I’m open to any other TV that fits in my budget with the best characteristics possible.

I hope my post is clear and I’m ready to ear your advices thank you !

I don't think that you can get decent smart tv for that budget. Perhaps a better alternative is to get a cheap TV and then just connect your computer to it via HDMI.

less tv and android box

  1. to be able to have apps on needs to be a smart tv. and most smart tv's don't allow side loading apps as they run their own os.
  2. better off finding a decent tv in your budget and get a android streaming box or firestick and install your iptv app their. or connect thru hdmi out to tv in as source and play from computer.

firesticks will cost about $50 and you can sideload smarters app. nvidia shield boxes are the best but are likely out of your price range the shield sticks are $150 and the box is $200

I have an LG smart TV. It has WebOS and the IPTV Smarters app.

My tv was $300 and is a 49 inch.

Go to Walmart.

43 inch Sceptre 4K LED TV $248.00 + ONN Android UHD 4K streaming device $19.88 = $294.00 with tax in my area.

This would meet your budget and expectations.

Edit: If you live within 20 miles of broadcast TV in your area pickup the ONN rabbit ears for $9.98 while your there.

Edit #2: If your laptop has an HDMI out port buy an HDMI cable to match your laptops port.

Go for the cheap TV + Firestick or Android box option. You can use an iptv service with apps like Smarters or Duplexplay on a smart TV but in my experience they don't run as well and the versions of the apps are more limited.

Any TV and a good android tv box

Get a android tv or fire tv because you can side load any apps and get iMplayer for iptv seems to be one of the best

You can get a 32" fire TV at best buy for under 200 and I'm pretty sure you can install smarter or some similar app on it.

I would buy a TV, and buy a streaming device separate!

Buy a simple tv and buy an amazon firestick 4k max. Not just an android box. For the moment it is the best solution: speed, stability, quality of picture, steady wireless connection, audio/video decoders and best of all, price. You can also install VPN in case your ISP block the connection with the provider. I am a happy user with a Philips TV of 2009.

I agree with others. Get the best tv u can afford no matter what OS (if it's smart) or even a non smart tv and then get the Walmart ONN Android tv. Make sure you get the box on and not the stick tho. Also I'm pretty sure if u order on Walmart online and pick it up it's only $20. I have found it meet all my needs with Kodi, syncler, and Tivimate all installed. I also have 1 set up in 24/7 Bluetooth paired to a Google speaker for better audio. (any Bluetooth speaker should work). They have all been great. Also I use my tv as a computer monitor. (I would recommend u set your display setting to 720, I have found it makes using a tv as a monitor much more practical).

I never really liked the fire stick just because it’s made my the biggest corporate company around, but damn it’s good for iptv
