Couldn't find IPTV smarter on google play

by A-R-Sh

Hey

I have a problem with my philips android tv. I reset the system, then I couldn't login into my google account, but I solved the problem. BUT another problem showed up, which is I couldn't find IPTV Smarters on google play. My current android sysytem is QM152E, and I have the latest version (2018).

I checked on Philips website, and I found that I have the latest version for my TV model.

So, How to upgrade the system and change it from QM152E to a new system?

Because, if my current system from 2018, then many apps will disappear now or later, so the TV will be useless.

To be completely honest with you you are better off getting a external streaming device like a fire stick or a Nvidia shield and stop using Smarters pro because it sucks.. TiviMate is by far much better IPTV player than Smarters pro..

Try Televizio.

Google Play took out the Smarters IPTV app. I've got a Samsung Tizen TV and downloaded the Smarters IPTV apk on my PC. After this I've put it on a usb stick and plugged it into one of the USB ports of my TV. I assume this should work for Android TV's as well.

For any TV Firmware upgrades is best to contact Philips Support.

As for Smarters, it is removed from the play store that's why you can't find it.

If you want to try another easy to use player then you should try CosmiTV Player

you can try this app it's the same as IPTV smarter but a lite version: Smarters Player Lite

Is it possible to get STBEmu on your TV?

I have a Sony Android TV and use STBEmu Pro for IPTV app. It runs natively on the TV like a charm. I'm an IPTV provider and actually buy these TV's with this use case in mind (I have 3). You can sideload the apk on the TV and install natively.

You can download the free version right from the Play store to test.

If you can then avoid using the new version of Smarters, the previous version was removed by their owners because in the new version, called Lite, most customizations are behind a paywall like tivimate and others do. If you can get your hands on older IPTV Smarters Pro or older XCIPTV then go for those instead, both run laps and laps around tivimate and such when used with xtream playlists. For m3u playlists then I would say go for OTT Navigator, has better options than tivimate.
