A few questions: 1. How can I change the name of the device Tivimate is connected to? 2. Tivimate is working find on one Firestick but will not load channels on two others even with the same URL listed. 3. In order to go back a day or two to see a program that was aired then, how do I do that? When I do go back nothing is showing and the current program plays. Does Tivimate have to stay on 24/7 in order for the back programs to show.

Your provider has to offer their service with CATCHUP to make it possible for you to go back in time and watch something from 2, 3 days ago. It is likely that you don't have catch-up from your description of what happens.
On a Firestick, If there is catch up content available there will be a clock icon next to the channel name on the TV guide page. Navigate to a show that is currently on, then click left (to go backwards in time) and hold down for a second or two and that opens up the shows that are viewable from the past.
