I own Nvidia shield and using tivimate for iptv. I hate this device it’s buggy. I’m considering to switch to Apple TV. Is the any good app for iptv something like tivimate. Tivimate is really great.

Is it the tube or the pro? I have two Shield Pro, a 2017 and 2019 version, working great for quite a few years. I heard the tube really is constrained by its lack of ram and 32-bit OS. If you have the tube get rid of and get a Pro. They are by far the best. IPTV apps on apple are not very good and nothing comes close to tivimate.
I recommend iPlayTV. Nothing comes close to Tivimate in terms of features but iPlayTV will provide the best experience for small a one-time purchase.
There’s also IPTV X, with more features, but I don’t like that most features are behind a subscription. Might work for you though, so check out both of them.
The closest thing to Tivimate on the Apple TV is iPlayTV. The EPG is similar, but you do not get any customization or features from Tivimate.
Check out lilly player. It’s just as good.

To have an iptv app that records on appleTV your only choice is NEXTPVR because there are NO recording iptv apps for appleTV
I use the NEXTPVR app on my appleTV which is the front end of a client/server setup. You need to install the back end NEXTPVR on a windows or linux box . I use the NEXTPVR back end on a linux box. It works flawlessly! You can also install the front end client on your iphone, on a PC or use the web front end.
I use to NEXTPVR use it on a Nvidia shield but it broke down so I turned to my AppleTV box that was gathering dust not beeing used since a few years

IPTVX is really good. Also stores info in iCloud so works across multiple devices.

honestly the Shield is way better
the apple tv 4k that I used would decode Dolby properly, converts to 5 channel, six channel etc.
the only time you can get the dolby dts is by watching apple tv content on their app; otherwise its a 6 channel conversion
stay with shield even the upscaling is way better
IPTVX is the best i’ve used, Way prefer Apple TV for IPTV use
