Don't worry about the TV. Get what you can afford. Then get an Nvidia Shield and put your apps on that. Hardwire it to your router (if you can) and viola!
TV are terrible at running apps thru Wifi. The Shield has way more processing power.
If you really want to be a cord-cutter then take my advice. I've been doing this since 2013.
For me there's nothing better than a Sony TV with Google TV system and the Tivimate app for IPTV. I personally have the Sony X90J.
Go for Sony android you won't regret
Why pick a TV on the basis of IPTV, buy the best TV you can afford then just use a firestick stick!!
I concur. With the android os you have easy access to the most software. Keep in mind that the tvs specs eg: Ram and processor speed, will affect your apps ability to smoothly playback streams
Anything that runs Android tv. TCL has started moving away from Roku to Android as well. Great affordable options there.
I have a Bravia as well and it's solid. Also could always just get a firestick 4k max for $55.
Any that runs google tv/android tv is your best bet for IPTV
I like to use streaming boxes personally. I don’t find smart TVs very user friendly
Sony with android is your best choice.
I have samsung tv and you can find iptv smarter pro in its store but the problem you can’t change the aspect ratio, I dont know if you can change the aspect ratio at android TV or not but in samsung tv the app is very basic
I was disappointed to get a smart TV juts to see it never got updated... This was years ago. Then I decided that my next TV can be Dumb as long as image and sound quality are good and it has a few HDMI inputs. I used 3 inputs currently 1) Xiaomi IPTV 4K Stick; 2) Computer; 3) XBox. TV plays a great role just being the display piece. Over time the "Smart" will get outdated and you will still have to upgrade it with some type of external player.
LG and Samsung have a Smart IPTV app in their app stores that runs IPTV without the need for a separate box. That's pretty good. You just enter the MAC address at the website it states and you're good to go.
If your budget can afford it, Sony Bravia is the best as it’s a true android OS,but most smart TVs would best be used with an external android device that have more Ram And processing power
