Buy a Android TV Box

"you can't" for the 384729th time.

You can't. It's has tizen os as opposed to android os. You need an android box or firestick/firecube if you want to use TiviMate.

People fucking need to stop using the Tizen/WebOS iptv apps, they are so bad.

Buy a Android box. Firestick, CCGTV or Shield and install Tivimate and you'll never go back.

Buy an android tv.

Fire stick 4k, Chromecast with google tv, or nvidia shield are great options

My Samsung Smart TV was never Smart... I really paid extra for nothing. Right now I really think we should buy the best IMAGE QUALITY TV, and forget what "smart" features they have. Just buy an Android Stick and make it smart. Android sticks or boxes are inexpensive and they can be easily replaced if they become outdated. The TV is supposed to last longer than the "smart" software/hardware inside. Samsung really disappointed me on that as they never updated the software for my particular model. Anyway, still using the TV with a "smart" Android 11 tv stick plugged to it.

attach an android tv based set top box - download from google play and go to town! - its not compatible with tizen though,

I would recommend using a 4k firestick or nvidia shield. Install tivimate on either of them and go from there.

TM is Android, Samsung TVs are Tizen OS. So, it can't be done.

You COULD buy an IPTV device that plugs into one of the TVs HDMI ports, such as Chromecast w GGtv or Firesticks or the $20 ONN device from Walmart to get Tivimate on that TV.

Don't bother going directly through smart tv. Get a separate device.

You can't. Tivimate is an "Android TV" app. It runs on android which samsung TVs don't. You need to purchase an android box to plug into your TV if you want to use Tivimate. Something like the Nvidia Shield or if that's too expensive for you go for a Firestick or if in the US the ONN Android TV which Walmart sells for $20. The latest Chromecast with google TV also works very nicely.

Shield + Tivimate + decent IPTV service + VPN.

Ultimate IPTV setup 👌 cut the cord years back with this setup and never looked back.

(Added bonus that I've setup a retro arcade emulator on the Shield and it connects to my PC to stream games via Moonlight)
