Password for mag254

I recently tried out a trial from iptvsubs and now I have just got iptvexpress. As far as I have always known my password for the parental setting was always 0000, it worked for iptvsubs a few days ago and I haven't changed it ever, but isn't working anymore for iptvexpress.

Any ideas what could be wrong?? I even restored factory setting from bios and even updated to the latest firmware for the mag but still nothing.

Ruya IPTV

Last month I posted about Ruya, now we have a website set up with a channel list and ways to contact us for a sub, feel free to visit our website and check out our channel list.

I have a facebook group where we post live fixtures, information about channels and all in all keep you in the loop, its a place where you can come to chat and have banter.

Ruya have hundreds of channels in HD, offer a 14 day catch up service as well as movies and tv shows on demand. UK, US, Italian, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Turkish, Serbian, Slovenian channels, for a fraction of the price cable would cost.

We aren't resellers of resellers like RuyaXL, we use the current up to date Ruya IPTV add on, version 1.2. Sick of seeing people buy from individuals who have no clue and then receive no support from them.

Reliability over quality?

I am searching for a provider for UK channels that is reliable it does not need to be HD, SD is fine. Support for playback on a PC via VLC would be ideal. Ntv.MX is blocked for some reason. Bitcoin support would be great also.

EPG question and updating

I had a mag254 box from a while back where I was on another service, it was actually given to me from my brother when he moved abroad. I used it a little as I already had a locked in cable company and put it away. As my time with the cable company is coming to an end I decided to dig it out and see what I could find. I stumbled upon this reddit, so glad I did and so dumb of me not to realize this was here all along.

Anyway, the mag254 I have has never been updated from the original firmware and Im sure its pretty old.

After reading through the forum a little I signed up to the iptvsubs 1 day trial to see how the service was, and channel line up and everything.   Everything looked good. I was impressed, the service my brother had before was pretty much all sd channels and kinda crappy quality. The channels on the iptvsubs seemed higher quality for sure, not sure if full hd but looked good.

The only problem I had with it was the EPG, the guide was always stating my time as 2 hours ahead and to be honest it was pretty crappy quality. But Im not sure if thats more to do with the old firmware of the mag254 or the service provider. Any thoughts/suggestions?

If it is an issue with the service provider, are there any recommendations on who to go with, that has a better EPG and similar or better channel lineup or more higher quality streaming.

Thanks guys

Best IPTV for 1080P, maybe 4K even?

Hi guys,

First of all I know there is a lot of these threads already so I do appreciate your help.

I am just looking around to find the best IPTV subscription for quality/price but I want the channels to be in HD or even 4k if that is even possible as I have a 100mbit connection and it is very stable.

I want a good mix of Sports (EPL, AFL, NBA) Movies (in HD) and Entertainment (TV shows & Comdey).

Currently I was looking at HDsubs: http://hdsubs.co

They have about 200 channels and pretty much all in HD with an awesome mix of sports. The one thing that caught my eye was they provide their own app, and I tested it for 3 days and it is so much faster than using Kodi. Streams load in like 5 seconds as apposed to 30 seconds with Kodi. It was kinda like just flicking through TV, and thats the experience I want. Only downside is they're $255US a year and I think I can do better.

The other one I was looking at was IPTV Channels. Anyone have any experience?

Can anyone make any suggestions? I want something that is faster than Kodi so having their own app is a bonus. IPTV Channels looks decent for price and how many HD channels they provide... they just don't provide a trial so I have no idea what they're like.

Cheers!

Best Canadian IPTV?

What's the best IPTV provider for Canada? I used IPTVSubs, it was OK - good quality streams but some features weren't working (i.e. EPG had wrong content, favorite button not working, etc.).

How is IPGuys or TechFront? Is quality comparable?

Thanks.

US channels available through Kodi

Trying to find a reliable IPTV service with a Kodi add-on for US channels like HGTV, DIY, Food, Discovery/science/turbo, preferably some sports channels, and maybe BT sports. I've tried both IPTVsubs and streamtvbox, both work well for a week or so, then continually degrade. I've heard good things about smoothstreams.TV, but obviously don't have any invite or clear channel list. I've also heard DexterTVpro is coming along pretty well, but don't know how to sign up. Is there others out there with reliability? I would def like more HD than SD, but I can live with it. Thank you in advance for any and all help!

Cheap and nasty IPTV service for UK channels that's compatible with kodi?

I'm looking for recommendations if anyone has any. I'd be willing to pay a small amount for an IPTV service I can link with kodi that has most UK sky channels. I'm not expecting HD or all the sports channels to work all the time - just a reliable stream for the ordinary channels, even if it's only 480p.

I'm very comfortable working with kodi and I have a nice configuration I'm very proud of so I'm not really interested in anything that can't be integrated into kodi. Also, because I'm in the UK I have access to a lot of channels in terrific quality (iPlayer, ITV Player etc) that are available through kodi add-ons already so I'm just looking to fill a few gaps in my EPG addon.

Is there anything cheap like that out there?

iptvsubs.is vs iptv express

I've tried the 1-day trial for iptvsubs, but have heard good things about iptv express as well. Which would you guys say is the better overall provider. I am looking to sign up for a subscription this week (I also like the fact that iptvsubs has a kodi addon)

1 month review of iptvsubs.is

I signed up for a 1 day free trial and then decided to pay for a 1 month subscription from April 9 until May 9, 2016.

I'm using Openelec running KODI on my raspberry pi.

Setup: 3 out of 5 (intermediate) You need to add the iptvsubs repo to kodi and install 2 addons. You must install the video addon first and then the epg updater. But before you install the epg updater, you need the PVR IPTV Simple Client and adjust the EPG time shift to your time zone.

EPG: 4 out of 5 (good) Mostly correct programming and it updates daily. In KODI when you go to the channel list or guide, all the programming is laid out pretty well for you. This is really nice.

Stream Quality: 2.5 out of 5 (meh) I noticed most channels are not 720p, even though KODI displays the 720p branding. I looked at the statistics overlay and see that video is actually at 1024x576 resolution (not 1280x720). The overall bitrate averages around 1.5Mbps.

Programming: 4 out of 5 (great channel lineup) I mainly watch sports and noticed that there's even PPV events -- this is a great bonus! However there are some channels that never work like BBC NEWS. If the US channel for the event is flakey, then I'll try and find the same program from the UK -- this has worked pretty well sometimes.

Rush hour / heavy utilization: 1 out of 5 (poor, lots of buffering) If there's a big event like NBA playoff games or Premiere League games, there's constant buffering and it's very annoying. Sometimes the audio will cut out or the stream will just stop completely. This never recovers until the event is over.

Channel hopping: 1 out of 5 (poor) This is very poor, it takes at least 10 seconds to load a new channel. I analyzed what is going on in the background and what happens is that the first request is to server called http://2.welcm.tv:8000 (with your username/password in plain text in the HTTP GET url request). Then it takes about 10 seconds for that response to come, which will then redirect you to another site where the video actually plays from. Once the redirect response is received, the loading of the video is actually quite fast. I'm guessing this is how they make sure you can only use 1 client at a time to access their service.

Suggestions for improvements: If iptvsubs can actually deliver 1280x720 video @ 3-4Mbps and have enough bandwidth for live sporting events so that clients don't buffer, that would be great -- I wouldn't even mind paying more. Currently I resubbed another month only because I don't think there's anything better.

In my opinion my priority would be:

  1. no buffering! increase datacenter bandwidth
  2. higher quality video stream
  3. faster channel loading times
  4. correct the last bit of EPG that seems off

Any reliable re-sellers in Brampton area?

I'm looking for a re-seller in the Brampton Ontario area for IPTV. So far I've tried IPTV Subs and IPTVChannels.com. They both have very good channel selection and stream quality but so far I have not been impressed with the service at times. Several times channels freezing and buffering. Sometimes the channels don't even work they just keep spinning loading and sometimes the channels are blank.

I have a Avov TV Online Plus STB with 30mbps download and 5mbps upload unlimited bandwidth - with these speeds it should never freeze or buffer.

I need something reliable for American content (CNN, ABC, TNT, TBS, CNBC and others, Canadian content (BNN HD, CBC HD, CP24 HD, TSN HD, Sportsnet HD) and Indian/Hindi content (All Z channels hd and News channels HD, Aapka Colors HD, Aaj Tak)

So, whose got what I need?
