Eternal TV quality

I've been user of Eternal TV for some time now. Before the recent change in platform, there was little buffering on all channels including the live sports streaming. But lately I noticed there's more buffering ever since their migration to another platform. Does anyone share the same experience or is it just me?

# of Connections using Emby

I am looking to subscribe to a new IPTV service and had a question on connection count.

I am using Emby on a Raspberry Pi as a server and have various Android TV devices connecting to it within my house.

How are connections counted? Since the stream is coming from the single server does each stream that it pulls count as a connection or can it pull a few streams as 1 connection.

For example, I have 3 Android TVs in my house all connected to Emby and they all want to watch different channels. What number of connections would that count for?

Amazon Fire Stick/ Recast

Does anyone know if you can use Amazon’s Fire TV Recast DVR box to record from a fire stick that’s streaming IPTV service?

This would be the ultimate cord cutting method. If anyone know if it can be done please let me know and hopefully how as well?

The Recast box is on huge discount for Cyber Monday today and I don’t want to miss the deal if it’s possible to record with.

How many services do you have and whats your limit

Usually most users will have their main and a back up, ive seen one guy reviewing on here( his reviews are really good) who has about 5/6, then u get some who will only have one service and be stuck when that goes down

Personally have 3 2uk based ones which i use 90% of the time(70/30 split) 1 us based service which is used for the us sport streams

In total i pay £30 a month for a total of 5 connections which is still a massive amount less than i would be(through official channels)

Also dont normally pay more than £10 for a service(equivalent to about $12.50) unless its multiple connections

Is anyone still doing local 24/7 anymore?

I like providers that have big 24/7 lists. Before the takedown, there were a few sellers that did local 24/7s instead of taking from the pool everyone else did. Is anyone still doing that? A lot of the shows havent come back from the providers since the takedown.

Referral Services vs. The Rest

With a lot of services blatantly advertising and not being any good or services that were once good, not being what they used to be, referral services can be a great way to find some stability in this crazy scene. But does it require a "change" in mentality from the buyer???

Keep in mind, this is my opinion, so take this post with that in mind.

Most of the sellers/admins are looking to stay under the radar which is why they only allow new customers if they've been referred by existing customers. But they're also looking for users that are less "needy". They want users that will read the guides they've provided, can follow basic instructions, and don't have a hundred questions. They're trying to maximize their time making the service the best it can be and not dealing with how to troubleshoot an app when you're the only person reporting buffering and you haven't done a simple speedcheck on your device.

They're essentially looking for low maintenance customers. This doesn't mean they don't want to help when you have issues, but there are definitely some customers who always seem to have more issues than others. I'm not talking about diva operators that most of us have come in contact with, just reasonable human beings who run a good service but don't want to have to be messaging with customers constantly over basic streaming stuff.

So what can you do if you've received an invite:

  1. When you talk to the provider, ask all your questions up front if you have specific needs. Need an m3u link? Ask to be sure they provide one. Want to pay with bitcoin? Ask up front if they take it. Need closed captions? Ask before you pay for service. Want to use a specific app? Ask to be sure it's ok or ask which ones they recommend to use. Need a specific channel or are certain channels more important to you? Ask before your account is created. These guys take pride in their service and don't want to let you down or have a misunderstanding lead to an unhappy customer.
  2. Ask the provider what they think they do best. Most providers will love talking about their service. It's their baby. And it's ok if what you want isn't in their bread basket. And most times, these guys know other great services that might do what you want better and they'll refer you to them. aka more flies with honey.
  3. Don't be offended if the provider has some questions that might seem "intrusive". Remember, these guys are trying to stay under the radar and avoid company spies and whatnot. Certain people out there are out to get these guys and they need to make sure you're not those people. So don't be surprised if they're asking a lot of questions about you. It's not personal.

I know this might sound insensitive, but I'm just trying to help people out. I like my service. I've seen people get referred and then not able to renew after 1 month because they were just nosy nellies. Overstepping bounds in group chats, etc. Once you get in, especially if there's a group forum, sometimes its best to lay low and just observe. Do people give help besides the admin? Do people pm the admin for help vs using the group support?

Again, this is just my opinion. Hope it doesn't sound like a speech. Good luck to all and happy streaming!

Whomever Recommended The Hive...

... You might want to stop.

I had some issues on the 24 hour trial but they came so highly recommended, I decided to ignore the issues.

There have been multiple channel outages all weekend long, it's far worse that Hydrogen that I got rid of for Hive.

I hope this doesn't set the tune for the entire month.

Have question about IPTV payment?

I'm new to this type of stuff found out that Blerd Vision offers a two day trial to test out. I was wondering do they support PayPal. If they do can I make a new PayPal account so I won't have to pay with my personal one. Get a prepaid card add money and add it to the New dummy PayPal account to stay safe? Also they support closed captioning like in cable?

Once upon a time..

I once had a trial of an amazing service which served (I believe) mostly Nordic channels but also had the Dutch and Belgian with 50 frames per second sports. At that time my budget wasn't all that but luckily it is now.

I can't seem to find this service. Anyone has any idea on what service this could have been?

Help would be appreciated!
