I know it's probably overkill, but I'm retiring an older Mac Mini (i5, 4Gb RAM) from my home studio and was wondering if I could repurpose it as a dedicated STB? I have a 1TB fusion drive in it (aftermarket), so plenty of room for recording.

I have DVBLink on my main server right now, but I'm finding the Apple TV link to it hiccups too much, and I keep reading about how the Dreamlink T1 is fantastic, so I figured I could just repurpose something I already have if possible. :)

I'd rather not replace the Apple TV, since my wife is already used to the Plex and Netflix apps on it, and just have a dedicated STB on another input.

Hi all, I'm new to this sub, so apologies in advance if this question has been answered already. I have a Sony TV with android OS & was looking into getting one of the Iptv services listed in the master spreadsheet. Does any of the listed services come with the ability to watch an episode later date? If not, is there an easy way to achieve this 'DVR' like capability with my Sony tv via an android app? I also have a alienware alpha that i'm using as a htpc, so i'm open to any windows based solutions also. Thanks in advance!

I recently cut the cord and got ATT 18Mb DSL service (Northern Cali) a few days ago and noticed a lot of buffering and stuttering on my T1. Double checked my network and setting and couldn't find a cause. I noticed the buffering was very consistent, like a timer. I read somewhere that internet providers are blocking IPTV so I signed up for PIA VPN since its on the T1 as an app. Started the PIA app, chose a location (Canada) then when I started the "Live TV" my buffering issue were gone. So if anyone has buffering issues maybe try a VPN, there are usually 1 month trials. I didn't try the free one as those have been known to be unreliable. I hope this helps someone. I paid for a subscription for Vaders Streams and after a day I'm no longer able to access it on my home connection. I can switch to my hotspot and it work fine. I spoke to the reseller and he said some ISP's were known to block IPTV. I'm having a hard time finding any information on google about this, so I believe its BS. Any one have any idea?

I am new to IPTV. When you subscribe to a service, what MAC address do you provide? I have boxes that have (and don't have) stickers on the bottom with MAC and Serial's. How do I subscribe the boxes without the stickers? Thanks in advance!

Setup to start:

Server: Windows 10 box, currently running Plex Media Server to serve movies and TV show collection. Since it's connected to the home theater, it also runs Kodi (PlexKodiConnect).

Clients: Kodi (the server one), and an Apple TV 4. Only one ever runs at a time.

I've tried iptvsubs and I'm currently with NecroIPTV. I liked subs' grouping (able to load just English channels was great) and I like Necro's quality so far. Necro's EPG is pretty bare for the US channels, though.

On the Apple TV, I currently have the iPlayTV app setup, which is working fine, except I haven't found group support yet and it's a bit of a hassle to switch from UK to US channels (since I have to go through all of Europe to get there!).

Is there any way to setup a local server to maybe trim down the channel list and/or EPG to just the channels we'd like to watch? Ideally I'd also like to be able to reorganize the groups and channels.

I mostly use the US/Canada channels, and I'm noticing that a lot of them have no EPG information, or it has it in another language. Is there another EPG source I can use, or will it get better and I should just hang in there?

I used to use iptvsubs and the EPG on that worked great, but the feeds seem better on Necro.
