1. How do I know I am on a private subscription? The guy set it up at the store and I have no clue how this works. I catch channels (TV and PPV) but doesn't everyone with a private subscription?

2. Do I even need a "private" subscription or can I just use this thing for free?

3. Why does it have two power buttons? How do I turn it off and where in God's name is the exit button?

I received the r16 firmware today. I noticed a few changes:

1. All games and picasa app are gone in the inner portal
2. Weather app now works
3. A speed test is included in the settings
4. Can now choose a default aspect ratio (Fit on, stretch, etc)

Pretty good update I would say.

Has anybody heard anything about liux.tv. Their website has been down for a couple of days but no one seems to have noticed. Their facebook and twitter a/cs are pretty dormant. There's not a peep on the Internet about whats happening. Wait and see I suppose.

Looking for reseller

Do any of the services or boxes allow to create my own group of channels? For instance, I want to create a group for some English, Sports, and Kids channels and another group for Arabic and Sports. I know I can favour all the channels I want then switch to 'All' but that's not enough. On the other hand, Some providers have too many groups, so I want to create my own group by selecting channels from theirs (e.g Voodoo)

Any good iptv providers that have their servers within North America? Every service I've tried that have euro based servers all lag/skip at certain times of the day. If anyone can please give any suggestions, it'll be appreciated.

I'm trying to see which has the best selection/video quality but I won't know until I try it out with my home internet.

For now I've used setvnow.com and they're great. They have a modest selection of channels and an on demand service. What's even better is the working tv guide and it's all in one apk file. No messy set up for noobs like me.

I purchased and used a box for a while now, while living in an apartment downtown.. I moved back in with my parents and planned on setting up my IPTV connection with a different provider (the person I bought my service from was closer to where I used to live and it made no sense driving all the way there).

I found a website that seemed to be decent and purchased 3 months from them. The server they use is OK2, which was just merged with OK1 according to my order update.. My previous connection was with OK1.

I am getting a message that says: your box has been blocked by the server. How can I have my box unblocked? I'm not sure why this is happening if this was a month-to-month service..

basically for job-related reasons I will spend a consistent amount of months abroad.

Therefore I decided to stop the contract with my cable tv provider and switch to an IPTV one, hopefully with some luck it will work properly.

I decided to go on with a provider that won't require a mac registration, therefore I would prefer buying an android/windows device rather than a mag system, I will install Kodi and I'll be able to use all the other smart-features of the OS.

Do you think that it will be better to buy an android device or a windows device? I read good reviews of the Mi box, but at the same time I read a lot of bad situations with incompatibilities and similar. Also I'm not sure with the versioning of the Mi box (3, 3s, 3 plus, 3 enhanced ??).

Also, I'm not sure I'll be able to find out an international version, here it is not sold and China's stores (gearbest?) clearly provide chinese versions, and I'd prefer not struggling to install the playstore, risking to brick the device.

Which are your suggestions? I would prefer not spending >100Eur, but I'm open to anything since I'm very newbye on this field and don't want to buy trash. Shield is way too expensive for the usage I will do.

So I'm planning on cancelling my cable TV and switch over to IPTV and I just want to know which box is the best and how the process works with setting up the IPTV.

I am testing peace country, which I think is flawless, and the guide is off by 5 hours. I found out that the epg is based on UK time. Outside of changing the time zone to a uk one, which also changes the time on the box and epg, I have not found a fix for this.

Has anyone come across a situation like this?

I have a mag 254W2 and trying to get the weather app to work on the internal portal. When I open the app and try to type any city, nothing comes up in auto complete or in the drop down list. I can't get any location to save so I can get weather for it. Anyone else has the same issue? I'm not sure where the weather location and data comes from? I have my ntp settings set up properly and data/time works fine.

Is there anyway to fix that?

I already have a IPTV app on my android box. My previous provider is out of access keys. Wondering if anyone knows what I am looking for. It also says TV EPG.
