I use SmoothStreams on Kodi on an Android box. The quality is pretty much what I would expect for a compressed HD stream. Watchable but far inferior to a 1080i traditional broadcast. Artifacts can be seen around channel logos etc and there is a lack of sharpness compared to HD broadcast DVB-S2. No complaints from me about that. My question is, could I actually improve the overall picture quality by upgrading my android box? I use a mini m8 SII which cost about £30. I recently tested an alternative service and found the quality identical to my current service. The proprietor recommended a more expensive android TV box (£80) and attested that I would experience better quality video on it.

Does anyone have a view on that?

Hi - I've been using DTVN, but the service has really packed up over the last few weeks with errors on most of the channels I use. Just wondering if anyone knows an IPTV service that offers all the big US/UK news channels including the Weather Channel (US)? I'm connected to an IPGuys service, and it works great other than all the guide data is blank. A previous post suggested setting "days to display" to 1 day and that appears to have worked for other users, but isn't working for me. On Kodi 17. Anyone have any suggestions?

After paying 190+ a month for TV and internet I finally decided that I will cancel my TV package and switch to IPTV. However i'd like to test it before I actually cancel my TV service, so I wanted to ask you all which is the best device to buy for IPTV service?

I see MAG 254 mentioned a lot around here, is that the consensus best device I can purchase for IPTV services? Please note that money is not an issue, I want the absolute best device on the market currently.

EDIT: Also, might as well ask for the best US/Canada/UK premium IPTV service.
