I have a budget of 200$ - 300$ and I want to buy a tv that allows me to install an app that can run my IPTV suscription. For the moment, I use my suscription on my computer with the IPTV Smarters app so my preference goes to a TV that can run this app but I’m open to any other TV that fits in my budget with the best characteristics possible.

I recently put together a 10 year old system, 8GB of ram. AMD something processor. When I install an IPTV application via windows, it plays without issue.

I went to install IPTV application using one of the android emulators. 3 of them google play kept crashing, and the other 3 that I was able to install the IPTV app on, they could not play the video.

I subscribed to an IPTV service yesterday which seems to be working fine, unfortunately it seems like my home ISP blocks its traffic so I cannot even log into it when using my home wifi, I wish to use the service using an Apple TV and as far as I am aware I cannot install any VPN software on that, and my ISPs router does not allow any VPN to be added.

I can install a vpn on my iPhone/iPad and watch on that but seem to be having some issues around Airplay in that it will send the audio to the TV via the Apple TV but not the video, which is very odd as I can open a video up in Photos on my iPhone and play that fine on the Apple TV. I am using GSE Smart on my iPhone.

So, basically, I need to find some way of playing the IPTV stream on my Apple TV but am currently struggling - anyone got any suggestions? it isn't important enough to me to buy a new router as the whole point is to save money so a software solution would be ideal if it is possible.

I do have a Firestick Lite I can try plugging into the TV, are there any free VPNs for that which would solve the problem?

I have a really outdated MXIII box and I want to upgrade to a newer one. I've tried a few boxes but none of them seem to be able to keep the video playing while the tv is off. They just pause the video. When I turn the tv back on I have to press play to continue.

I want to make it so the video keeps playing even if the tv is off. Is there some android feature I'm missing or some box with a special option that will allow this? I've tried multiple player apps as well and nothing has been working so far.

I'm using StbEMU Pro for an IPTV service, and on my Android box, I typically use the remote to control volume/power, and I use an optic mouse to scroll/click with in the app. With StbEMU launched, the Android remote doesn't work for volume and the mouse doesn't scroll with in the app and the buttons are not clickable, I can only use the controls which are in the app for volume, scrolling, clicking, etc.

Anyone know how to enable the use of my mouse and remote with in StbEMU?

I want to create a playlist for family to access home movies etc from my cloud server. I understand the process of create a text file and adding #EXTINF info but I'd like something to automate/simplify the process somewhat. I have no desire to manually create this file for 100's of clips.

Is there any software/scripts that can do this?

Do these boxes still do a good job in the main compared to probably new devices nowadays? Using it I find it works find, but trying to use timeshift (rewind) it just keeps on stopping and then I have to keep press the rewind button to sometimes eventually got to the part I want to see again, and then when you press to play it it just starts and stops, start and stop, this happens when viewing a stream.

Using this device for about 12+ years, probably longer, and if it's not broke and all that, well why replace it, but that timeshift issues has made me ponder on the idea of a replacement.

Any notable recommendations or just stick with it for what's out there?

When I open the App I want it to start streaming a predefined channel. So it's like turning on a TV.

Recently switched my isp to xfinity and now when I attempt to load my iptv playlists I get error messages and it won’t load. In order to get the playlists to load I have to tether using my phone. Once it loads I then change my firestick’s network connection back to xfinity. Oddly enough I can then stream with no problems. I’ve tried running various vpn’s on the firestick with no success.

I never experienced this issue with my previous isp - AT&T. Any solutions that I can try?
