I’ve been doing some research into IPTVs over the last few days and I’m honestly lost. I was hoping to get some information or help point me in a proper direction.

1. what’s the difference between an Android TV box and a IPTV box like Formuler Z8? I get the difference in terms of functionality and features, but is there an advantage of one over the other outside of apps? I’ve heard Tivimate as a recommended Android TV app, and I presume you’re stuck with whatever comes on the IPTV box.

2. I do not understand “stalkers” one bit. Is it just a name?

3. Certain IPTVs require you to add your MAC address, but it only seems that way if you have an IPTV box.

4. Are there apps on the Apple TV that work as well? I’ve heard iPlayTV and IPTVX are two recommended ones, but I haven’t come across much advertising regarding Apple TV being compatible.

5. If you have multiple TVs in the house and want IPTV access on all of them, is it recommended to get multiple IPTV boxes or should I look for provided with m3u playlists?

Hey all, Just have a quick question about accessing the VLC playlist outside my home network. I am needing to access it at another location, but I see no information on how to do that? I have media sharing on my windows 10 pc where the playlist is located. What am I missing? Thanks

I have a very reliable IPTV provider, and a very reliable Surface Pro 6 (with max performance settings on). Why is it then that the streaming on the shield is flawless, but constantly buffering on the Surface Pro?

Ive tried a few different IPTV clients on the Surface Pro, even Kodi, and its the same. Strean for a few seconds, then a 5 second buffer, repeat.

What the hell is causing this? Can someone please help?

Really excited that I picked up a Formuler Z8 today! But I've now spent almost 2 hours trying to get various things to work and am getting pretty frustrated. I know I'm likely missing something. Can anyone please help with any of the below?

The box came with a normal remote and an air mouse. The air mouse didn't have instructions, it was just thrown in the box as a 'free gift' from dreamlink. From what I can see, it is supposed to be plug and play but it isn't working when I put the receiver in. I've tried the receiver for my wireless PC mouse and this works fine as soon as it's plugged in. Is there some kind of pairing protocol for the air mouse?

Is there no internet browser possibility on the Z8? I need this to get filelinked onto the box - the link through downloader doesn't seem to work. I've double checked that third party apps are allowed.

I can't get google play store to work properly - when I search, I get a list of options but there is no way to scroll down or select any of the options that I can see. If I use the cursor function on the remote, I can select one of the items I can see, but I still can't scroll down and my only option is to exit.

Not very impressed at the user-friendliness so far. The instructions provided are only for initial setup and no guidance re settings, moving around the box options, etc.

If anyone can provide any assistance, I would greatly appreciate it.

guys i use iptv but ive tried about 10 services and they buffer...i use the router from verizon fios...i always check my speed and its fine...a lot of other apps work well but always buffering on iptv...i dont get it

When I put my providers log in into my tivimate I checked off to include VOD is there a way I can take it off without having to delete everything and start over?

I have tired a few EPG and none are great. I am not sure if its my setup or the EPG itself. I would say 50% of programs are ok but some show up with programs being late or early. Casein point, I find some programs the time lists the right program. But a few channels down, one program is an hour early. A few channels from that, a program is listed a hour too late. Is it me? My set up? Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a IPTV Player for FireTV Stick that allows different MAC adresses?

I had a question I was hoping this sub could help answer. I currently have an iptv subscription that requires a username and password, I've been using it for a while with an Android box and it's been working great! I really want to start using this iptv sub on my Samsung smart TV. The thing is the actual Android app for it doesn't support Chromecast. So right now I am looking for an app from the Samsung app store that would help me do this. Is this possible? I've read so many diffrent kinds of answers and I'm a bit confused about it. If anyone can chime in with some advice that would be great!

Hi, anyone aware of an iptv player that you can self host on linux? I.e you can point it at your m3u /xmltv files and get channel listing, play vids etc via web browser?

I bought a new Octagon SX88 UHD Box (LinuxOS) and wanted to use the Stalker Portal for IPTV. I typed in the Portal URL, Username and Password but it says your STB is blocked notify the Provider.

I typed in my MAC Adress (in this case it is the Stalker-ID) and it said “MAC Adress already existed“ but the Box is brand new and the provider is not very known so how is my MAC Adress already existed on the IPTV Providers platform?

Is there a way to change the MAC or in this case the Stalker-ID?

I'm using IPTV editor but I'm running into a problem. I have 2 playlist and I I've added one channel from one playlist to another. The channel appear and works in the playlist I copied it to however in the guide I get no information. In the playlist I'm copying from the channel has guide info and when I copied it over I used all the same info including epg address. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'd also like to use the better epg with the playlist who's epg isn't so great. I'm using TiviMate but I haven't been able to get this to work.

It's fairly simple to do with notepad, but its annoying.

I hope somebody can help me here in English since in German I don't find the support that I need. I try to explain it very well so you guys understand the issue. If you guys can't help me I would also appreciate which reddit page could possibly help with this.

So I bought a Wifi Stick with the Chipset Realtek 8811CU for a Linux IPTV Setup Box which doesn't have wifi on board (Octagon SX88 4K) which supports the Chipset of the wifi stick. People in their forum even said this works. Just plug it in and type the wifi password and you good to go. But my wifi stick has this issue, that it came without a CD so whenever you first time plug it in, it first shows up as a USB Drive. In the forum they said that this should not happen. When I plug it into the Box and go to Wifi-Settings it doesn't see any wifi devices because it thinks I plugged a USB Drive.

So I plugged it into my Laptop (Windows 7) and there it also showed up as a USB Drive. So I could open a folder and Install it to Windows or Mac. I though to myself "WTH? This is not a USB Sticks it's WIFI Stick" After I installed the Software for Windows, which was on the folder of the Stick, THEN it turned out to be a Wifi Stick and did it's job. Now whenever I plug it into my Laptop it acts like a wifi stick how it should. The Linux Receiver Box that I bought this Wifi Stick for see it as a USB Drive because that is what sticks pretends to be whenever you plug it in to a new device the first time. But that is my Problem! I need to skip that USB part to make this stick to get recognized as a wifi stick in the wifi settings of the box.

Anybody know what to do with the stick? Should I just delete all files in it? Or formate it to something? I hope you guys understand what I try to say.

The Wifi Sticks pretends to be a USB Stick at first so people can install the software for windows or mac but I need this part to skip otherwise my Box doesn't recognize it as a wifi stick but instead as a usb drive.

Another user in the forum bought a similar wifi stick, which looked exactly like mine with the same exact same chipset. Only difference was, that his wifi stick came with a CD. He never used the CD because the Linux Box recognized it as a wifi device. Unlike mine which didn't came with a CD and that's why it acts like a USB Drive first. But I need to skip that part somehow. I hope you guys understand what I mean by that. I really hope someone can help me.

I’ve been using it but can’t get the EPG to work, I tried the xmltv.php? (I think it was) change on the url from my provider but every time I input the link I get an error. I got it to work once on the refresh and then ever since then it fails to populate.

I was using STBEmu on amazon fire TV stick, but suddenly it stopped working, a while ago. Message says: "your stb is blocked, call the provider".

When I asked provider they were not aware of any such blockage.

Any body experienced this? Has firetv taken steps to stop it from running. Any solution?

I have a great wifi connection working perfectly on mobile and laptop but all channels buffering on IPTV. I have rerouted router, remove all other cables and yet still nothing, channels all there when I checked network settings all perfect there too. Un logged from laptop and mobile in case too many items but didnt make any difference? Any ideas, 5 days no tv arrrrrghhhhh

What app or setup would you recommend for running Iptv service through my laptop using Windows 10.

Strange problem, perfect player keeps updating again and again, I have the Epg set to update once a week, but it will update multiple times in the one day, anyone every experienced this or couple think of what the issue could be?
