My mag box just blew and my sub uses mac addresses instead of m3u's. i'm looking to explore my options and I have a samsung smart TV but the only app I can see that will work with mac addresses is smartSTB but it costs £23 (which seems a bit steep to me when compared with the £5 STB emu for android).

Is there another cheaper samsung app (like smartSTB) I could use for MAC addresses (my preference)? If there isn't, whats the best external device I could use? I heard mag box's aren't the best anymore so I dont think spending £60 on a new one is worth it but anyone have any thoughts?

EDITED TO CLARIFY: I'M TALKING ABOUT PAYMENT FOR IPTV, NOT VPN.

If going through the hassle of a VPN etc, it would seem crazy to then pay by CC or paypal. I thought I had found the answer in prepaid credit cards, but most providers go through paypal and I just can't get paypal to take prepaids (I do register them beforehand). They still don't seem to allow it.

I thought another option would be bitcoinATM but, along with the high transaction costs, it seems they also require KYC upfront - selfie, driving licence scan etc.

I have a bitcoin account that I haven't used yet. I had to do KYC to set it up. Although not anonymous, would this offer any more protection over, say, paypal? Assuming that I can't truly find an anonymous way of paying?

Services which do not offer m3u links are we still able to use that service with a player of our choice. I’m trying to figure out are m3u links important/good and if I need them to be able to use the player of my choice.

Looking for a parent friendly setup so they can plug and play in the UK ? I will of course set it all up and have looked at simple to use android boxes to load tivimate but wondering if a mag box would be preferable? Thanks

No “dedicated server” on Firestick?

I always used “dedicated” servers on my Firestick - however having just reinstalled all my apps, this option is no longer available for me.

For the last years, I have tried a bunch of iptv services (like most of you), and 95% of them , have the same “problem” the channel list order.
Yes I'm being fussy, but when I see a whole list of countries, ones with capital letters others without capital letters, the same country in many groups because they have a bunch of channels and are divided in categories (news, kids, movies, sports...), but others with the same number of channels in one group. The adult channels (for example), instead of givin the name of XxX ( easier to find in the last position of the list) they give names like FOR ADULTS or P*RN, ( and they stay in the middle of the list group) You can also find channels named with diferent simbols on the same group, like:
[24/7] blabla bla
{24/7 } bli bli
<24/7>blu bli
What I normally do , is download the list and edited with a m3u program, but what I dont undestand, is why the people that do the list doesnt give a s**t, of taking care of their product.

For some reason I can't get ZiniTevi to load on to my Home page when using android tv os on 2 different devices, it's under "all apps" and I can open it and use it from there but it would be nice on the home page. I also have a firestick 4k and it does appear on the home page. any idea's?

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on which decoding method, hardware or software, is best for watching IPTV?

Hello, recently i paid for a subscription and the problem was that in the URL the provider sent me, there were so many thousands channels inside and so many VODS that my TV was freezing a lot.

I searched and I found a program that I could manage/delete channels I want. I did this but the problem now is that the

1. The source was a URL, and now after managing it I could only save it as a file (.m3u). I saved it and upload it at my Ottplater playlist

2. When I upload the file in Ottplayer to watch at my TV, there are no group channels any more. There is a big mess with channels + vods.

3. I can't enable the autoupdate function in the Ottplayer playlist (that's because the source is a file?)

So, I guess the only solution is to ask the provider to make for me a new URL with the desired country channels I need? Can I fix these by myself?

Hello, I'm interested in an android box strictly for IPTV and Netflix. I will not be doing anything else with it. From what I understand from research, other than the Shield, these 3 are good options. I'm in Canada so my prices are higher for context.

• Formuler X8 - $179.99
• Mi Box S - $129.99
• BuzzTV xr4000 - $129.99

Of those 3 which should I buy? Or is there any other option I should consider. The Firestick 4k is $70 but I'm not sure how good it is for IPTV.

I currently run my m3u streams through apple TVs using IPTVX. I also have Synology 218+ NAS from I watch movies through Infuse. If I buy a Formuler z8, will I be able to record to my NAS? Will it be an improvement over my 4k ATVs? Will I be able to cruise through the EPGs and set up things to record. If so, has anyone here used comskip to strip out the commercials? The six-hour difference between the UK and me is killing me.

My mom cancelled her cable recently, I told her I would get her an Android Box and set up an IPTV service for her. I know everyone says NVIDIA Shield but I don't know if that would be unnecessary for my mom. Can the latest Amazon Firesticks handle IPTV well? Any other suggestions are welcome, thank you.

Hey! I use MyTVOnline2 on my Formuler Z8. Now I want to use TeamViewer to program some recordings on the go with my iPhone.

But TeamViewer only work when I opened the TeamViewer app on my Formuler and when TeamViewer works on my iPhone and I gonna go to MyTVOnline2 the screen goes black and I can't go to the EPG to program some recordings.

Any tips?

I want to encode TV at home and watch it while away in my caravan. Can anyone suggest some hardware (an encoder and decoder) that will allow this?

I've searched but am overwhelmed, and nothing that I've found seems to meet my use case.

I imagine that I need a device at home that accepts HDMI and has an IR sender to change the TV channel, in the caravan I presumably need a second device that outputs the HDMI and has an IR receiver.

The use case is to watch my home SkyQ in the caravan without needing to install a mobile dish with a wideband lnb and draining my battery while leaving the SkyQ box powered on to record shows. Instead, I'd leave the SkyQ at home and connect to it over the internet with a low power receiver in the caravan as required. Unfortunately, I know zero about IPTV and have no idea what to buy.. I did see something about a Slingbox but have no idea if that's a good option or not. Can you help?

I currently use IPTV through xteve, which works great when everything is mapped. The issue is my provider seems to add some channels, with all the info in the m3u title, and the EPG for these channels is blank. Therefore I need to map (daily!) the channel, before Xteve will pick it up again.

I was hoping there was a service (online or self hosted) that can create a dummy xmltv file, using the M3U information as a dummy?

I purchased a Boomerang box and have my IPTV running well. I ha fit working flawlessly on my bedroom TV. My living room TV, however, finally died after 13 years of good use. I replaced it with a Sony Bravia X950H. Beautiful television, been using the PS4 and switch no issues. The Boomerang box however doesn't seem to want to play audio. I have toggled the sound between enhanced and normal but still nothing coming through. Anyone else had this issue?
