IPTV Viewer for Android TV

I am currently using `Perfect Player` but it is not very good since the Android/MiBox update, it hardly ever get the channel information, (EPG) and it does not seem to work well on Android 9, (the picture freezes ...often!).

So I am looking for a different/good IPTV Viewer for Android TV, (MiBox).

I like `IPTV GSE` but my main issue is that the channel list hidden after 5 clicks, call me lazy but that seems like a lot to me :)
Open App > XTream-Code API > Select My entry > Live > Select channel

or the slightly faster ...

Open App > Favourite > > Select channel (but it implies that I have to find my favourites for my channels first).

I would like to just be able to click on the app and see my channels ... almost like a normal TV.

Or even better, have the channels directly in my Android TV home screen ... (Customize Chanel or something similar?)

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Start own iptv

Am paying around 150$ for 2 lines of iptv per year , after some investigations i found up that with 200$ or even 100$ i can become a reseller , use the service for my self and sell the rest , this way i will have my service for free and who knows maybe make some good money .

After some research i found out that to start an iptv i need 3 main things :

IPTV PROVIDER / IPTV WEBSITE & BILLING PLATFORM

for building the IPTV WEBSITE and BILLING PLATFORM i found : Xtreamcoderz , so far so good since they will do all the setup for me .

Now about iptvprovider i know i need to search inside the iptvresellers category .

BUT MY BIG QUESTION :

SHOULD i resell or should i create my own network !!?? i do not have any experience , Xtreamcoderz told me to find a good iptv reseller and just buy credits and resell them since they do not advise me to run my own service since it will cost more .

but after using google i learned that if you contract some servers like ( instant dedicated / ovh ) or any hosting websites that support streams they will offer servers , then get some channel sources and link them to your hosting account and that it , the results will be x 10 profit than becoming a reseller and just resell the credits you purchase .

So is it that complicated to run your own iptv service , or its possible ? is becoming the MAIN provider worth the hard work or is it something for experts only and the best solution is to get a reseller credits and resell ?

STBemu App on Firestick: Can't click on menu boxes

Hi,

I am having a problem with not being able to click on menu items. I am using STBemu to test an IPTV provider. The stations show and work fine.

At the bottom of the screen are four boxes, such as “view”, “sort”, “favorite”, and “more” . . . Apparently, I should be able to navigate to them and their functionality will expand when I click on it.

Instead, I cannot even navigate to these items, and they seem to have no interactive-capability.

Is this something that has been experienced by anyone in the past? Is there a way to correct the problem? I am using the free version of STBemu. Could that be the problem? I can't imagine it would be limited to the pro version to have that capability.

TIA . . .

How to download video on VOD from a private IPTV provider?

hi, first time writing here, sorry if something is wrong writted.

i have an android app (megaplay) that works like an iptv provider, giving me live tv, vod etc, the thing is im trying to download the movies stored in there, but it doesnt have .m3u list or something like that.

it just work with an user and pass, and it only work on an android app, ive tried many things (im newbie so...) like finding the ip from where is coming, but i just discovered that (on a simple web browser) it doesnt allow simples connections by a web browser, reading by there i thing the cloudfare server is blocking any connection that doesnt come with their proxy (im not sure what im talking)

another thing i found decompiling the apk, is that works with lists .m3u8 (found a reference in a java document inside) but after that and many hours reading every document in the apk decompiled, thats all i could find.

maybe this is solved before, maybe not, but any suggestion or maybe a clue on wich way to go, will be really aprecciated

ps: i dont put any ip for obvius reasons (i guess?)

Httpdatasourceexception error

So I have this weird thing that when trying to view my iptv provider at home, I get an httpdatasourceexception error. I am able to use CyberFlix, so my firestick is connection to the Internet, but not to my iptv service provider (using tivimate, btw).

But if I take my firestick to a friends house, my iptv works.

What could be going on w my Internet that is causing this?

It worked once. But hasn’t since.

Wondering why your Voodoo service isn't running properly? Here's the reason the resellers aren't telling you.

Yep, now Voodoo has gotten them in the crosshairs of DISH network. The VOD went down a few days ago with no resolution, and now the resellers are not responding to emails regarding Voodoo.

IPTV on iOS Players

Wesotv, lillyplayer, GSE or Xtream iptv ?

Hello, I was recommended for iOS (for my kids phones) to consider one of the 4 players above. I am accustomed to TiviMate myself for my iptv needs on my multiple android devices. I was hoping for some incite into these players. Which of them might be most similar to TiviMate? Which is least likely to get removed for x reasons by apple? (I'd really rather not set these up multiple times) This is my final hurdle in cutting my final cord of N*tflix. I'd rather sub to my iptv for additional displays over continuing that sub.

Maybe you have a better recommendation over those 4? These are what my iptv recommended. I am not partial to any.

EDIT: Can they use xtreme codes?

Firestick or firecube setup

Hi

Just had my fire cube delivered. Then it occurred to me, should I be setting this up with my actual personal data or should I be putting random stuff in? I’m assuming if I were to watch iptv on it from certain sources I’d want to protect my data?

Obviously this will be used in conjunction with a vpn.

HELP!! IPTV service is blocked on my IP-address, IPTV provider blames ISP, ISP blames IPTV provider.

TL:DR: What should I do?
IPTV Provider claims he does not hold a list with blocked IP-addresses and ISP says they never restrict customer access, because if net neutrality (EU-laws). But when pinging to the IPTV server, it clearly said time out the request when no VPN is on and shows 0% lost when VPN is on.
If there are any reseller/IPTV server owners active here please, explain to me how this (can) happen and what you should do to resolve this?

UPDATE:

Asked my friend (with the same ISP) to ping to the IPTV and what do you know, it worked for him.
So I could rule out that ISP is the one at fault.
Performed a tracert to the ip-address of IPTV server and it goes fine untill the last hop.

Somehow, it's blocked at his localhost, because when using another ip-address of his IPTV server that one follows all the same trace but does land in the final hop to his server.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

So recently I came across an IPTV service and asked for a trial and reseller program. Gotten a trial link and everything seemed fine, until it didn't.The link for the trial I got worked fine, but I was not at home when testing it.Under the impression that (oh well the trial was fine at my friend's house, should be fine at home too).

Uhhhh wrong, while I was negotiating with the IPTV provider about some not working channels, he gave me another link for a trial. Now I was back at home and tried opening it, it didnt work. And I tried everything, GSE, Perfect Player, VLC, tried downloading the m3u-file nothings worked.I complained to the IPTV provider and he said it worked fine, try using "our" app.Which I did, downloaded the attached .apk file, and voila it did work.

I was satisfied, bought few credits and made my friend happy with his new IPTV on his STB Emulator. Now I tried to make m3u-link for myself and this is where the trouble came.I was back in the same spot as before, where the m3u-link just didn't work, now after buying the credits, I was assured that it should work since I knew and saw in the panel that my friend was happily enjoying his Discovery HD channels.

Began complaining to the IPTV provider again, he even mentioned that the link which I send him also worked. Now I was becoming paranoid and tried resetting the router and this is where I got my biggest clue. Because the router was rebooting, my phone lost wifi connection and jumped to 4G and for some reason he IPTV worked.

I thought oh that's strange and made a hotspot and connected my pc to it and voila it worked on my pc also. Which made me think maybe my access point/pfsence router was the problem.I was supposed to update pfsence anywway and so I did, tried again with WIFI, and back to the same problem. Channels just didn't load. Connected first to the Accesspoint and the Pfsence through cable and both of them didn't work.FYI, the internet comes in my house through the phone line with ADSL connection and my modem(no firewall) converts it and flows through the Pfsence(with firewall) to all my AP's.

If anything, connecting to the modem directly should show that the service worked and my PfSence configuration was at fault.

No, it didn't work at my modem either, this where I sat back on my couch and put my hands through all my quarantined grown hair and start pulling it off before I tried VPN and what do you know, It worked (while connected over WIFI to my AP).

One forum suggested when this happens, you should ping to the IPTV server and I did.Below the results, before putting the IPTV server on blast I want to know for sure the problem is at their end, hence why I removed their URL/IP addresses.C:\Users\Home>ping iptv server url

Pinging line.\`iptvserve``.``abc [ip-address] with 32 bytes of data:`

Request timed out.

Request timed out.

Request timed out.

Request timed out.

Ping statistics for ip-address:

Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss)

Now contacted the ISP and IPTV provider. Both mentioned it not their doing that it is blocked.IPTV provider said the don't hold a list of blocked IP-addresses, and I wouldn't know why they would have the IP address I have never being a client of theirs with unpaid checks or created bad publicity for them. So I see no reason why they would block it.

I tried free/open IPTV links and they all did work. I tried another IPTV service which I had in the past, that one also worked. I would make no sense why would ISP block this one particular IPTV provider and not all other ones too.

Now I know the obvious answer, yOu sHoUlD aLwAyS uSe vPn wHeN uSiNg iPtV or *Dude, it works what ur problem?*VPN, yes I know that is true, and I am planning to, but I don't like the idea too that mine IP-address is blocked for no good reason, meaning my address I known and "saved" at some type of list/database.But mostly just WHY THE HELL IS MY IP ADDRESS BLOCKED?

And yes, it works now but I don't want to got through this shit again when lose a day trying to find out what the (next) problem could be when switching from IPTV/ISP.

If there are any reseller active here please, explain to me how this (can) happened and what you should do to resolve this?

New to IPTV. How can I stream country specific channels?

My parents are from the Dominican republic and I am trying to cut their cord from spectrum, they are being overcharged etc. One of the things they liked about spectrum is that in our region (NY) they had access to a few channels from the D.R. which I assume is offered due to the large Dominican population in NY.

Anyway, I was wondering if there was a way to set them up so that they could watch Dominican "local tv" right here in NY.

thanks :)

Some channels buffer on startup a lot....

Have certain channels from my provider that buffer a lot when loading at first, but for some reason when I go channel up and back down to that channel,. it fixes it . Almost like a quick reload solves the problem. But why is this happening in the first place? Why dont they just load on start properly?

Any suggestions such as STB settings etc. ? Thx....

An honest review of a Non-Shield Android Box (long post)

This will be long, but this comes up a lot so some might get some use from this. So I don't need to hear the TL;DR

OK, admittedly... I've only had the box a day, but I've been putting it through the paces pretty well, and honestly, I'm happy with it (I'll give some links in a second). First understand, I've had my Shield Pro since they were first released, and have always been happy with it. Recently it started locking up and randomly rebooting. Tried a full reset, which worked for a short time.. then the problem got worse. Thursday night it literally rebooted 4-5 times while watching a 2hr movie. When I checked it, I noticed it was hotter than the fires of hell.. so obviously the box was probably on it's last leg. I'd been looking for another Shield Pro anyway for another TV, but they are never in stock or I miss out when they are. Since I literally have no TV w/o a box, I hopped on Amazon, find a box with good reviews, and took a chance. GIven past experiences (granted, years ago) I did not want to get a Fire stick. Got the box Saturday morning and set it up with little fuss.

What I use my Shield/TV box for: Kodi, to stream from my media server (I don't use Kodi add ons)

TiviMate paired w/ an IPTV subscription

On rare occasion, Amazon Prime Video

OpenVPN/PIA app

The box I bought:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PGNW1KZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Many of the reviews said the remote sucked... I have several mini keyboard/touchpads here.. so I wasn't super concerned about that (I frequently used them with my Shield to). For the record, the remote does suck. I bought this one a couple months ago and it is fantastic.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074QP5LRW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

What I like... The box is FAST. Apps install and open very quickly, no lag at all in Kodi or TiviMate even when browsing a fairly large collection on my server or scrolling large channel lists in the EPG. Performance wise for my uses, I would put it very close to my Shield Pro.

What I wish was better.. The main interface is a tad clunky. The keyboard/touchpad will help a lot here. It's not terrible, but took a bit of getting used to after using the Shield for so long.. but slowly it is warming on me. The included File Manager, just flat out sucks. It would connect to one of my NFS shares, but not the other, wouldn't connect to SMB at all.. just made no sense (Kodi saw all shares fine). Installed X-Plore, which I used a lot on my Shield... problem resolved. Next thing that really irritated me, was when using the PIA android app.. a pop up came in from the left side of the screen constantly saying I was connected. It would show on screen for about 2sec, disappear then reappear. Extremely annoying. Thinking it was just some weird quirk with the app, I installed OpenVPN and set it up.. same problem. Honestly, this would have been a deal breaker and I would have sent it back had I not figured this out. I started going through the Apps, and saw one called "AliceUx" and after some Googling it appears this is apparetly the interface some of these boxes use. Going into that apps settings and turning off Notifications, resolved this issue. The only issue that I cannot resolve (and it's not the boxes fault) is Amazon Prime will not play in HD. I assume the same would be for Netflix, Hulu, etc. I don't watch Prime enough for this to be a deal breaker, and if they want to play that game, I'll acquire them in HD. Maybe when Fire sticks go on sale, I'll pick one up for Prime in HD if it becomes a big deal to me.

Longevity remains to be seen of course, but thus far... I'm happy.

Synology apps and USA providers

I'm running a synology 718+ NAS and have been playing around with Jellyfin, xteve + Plex, and tv mosaic

So far, Jellyfin looks the easiest to use but I've had issues with the guide on it and haven't tested recording yet.

xteve + plex gives mixed results, when it works on my pc browser it doesn't work from my firestick. Then it works on the firestick and recording works but no sound and it doesn't record the whole show.

Anyone running a synology, shoot me a msg. I would like to get your opinion.

Second question, what is a "reliable" provider with mainly USA content and multiple streams. Number of channels are not important. I really only need the big 4 networks, anything else is extra.

Noob Q 1 Recording on firestick

Hey,

So I’m brand new set up and getting excited about it all (firestick / tivimate premium). Notice you can record - assume that records to the firestick?

Can I record to the (tb) hdd plugged into my (LG) smart tv instead of the (5gb) firestick?

I’m really happy with the $13/month provider who I’m trialling. Based on no comparison. All the channels I’d expected, loads of VOD.

Should I be sensible and trial others? Or can I carry on with a clear conscience?
