A few channels have a skull on the top left corner. Nice quality picture. Do you know what provider this is?
Greetings!
I've got tvheadend working on a Synology NAS and I've noticed that recordings are a hit-and-miss. Sometimes they work, other times I'll get audio only. I've gone through the tvheadend forums and it seems like it's a common enough problem that it's hard to get reliable recordings.
Is anyone successfully using tvheadend with IPTV streams? If so, would really appreciate any pointers. I'm piping the non .ts streams via ffmpeg.
Speaking of piping the streams... if you're looking for a way to modify your M3U file to add the pipe:/// stuff automagically so that you can keep up-to-date with your provider's M3U, this Python script I wrote might prove useful to you: https://pastebin.com/diTsf6X0
For example you can run something like this via cron:
m3u_pipe_wrapper.py -u http://url-to-provider.m3u -o /some/path/modified.m3u
You then configure your tvheadend network to point at file:///some/path/modified.m3u.
It's written for Python 2.x (and uses urllib2 instead of requests) as I wanted it to work on the Synology NAS without having to install any extra dependencies.
Look, I get it, running an IPTV service is not easy but then again running a business is not easy. If you take a SINGLE dollar from someone you have a responsibility, period. I've had bad experiences with Vaders, like someone else did here and with RoyaltyTV. In other words, I'm 0 for 2.
With Vaders, everything was a bother and as soon as they get your money you're fucked. With Royalty, I tried to reason with the fat fuck who owns it but he wouldn't give me money back for my 5 connections despite cutting it off for me and thousands of others . In all fairness though he does have stellar customer service skills, in one instance a customer was inquiring about a channel being down and he responded with "Whatever, faggot". Now I know people might say to try /r/iptvreviews but after using it for the two aforementioned providers, it didn't really help, and I no longer believe it gives you the full perspective. In other words, a customer that gets treated well might leave a review there whereas the 99% of others will not.
Also, believe me, I do have perspective on this. I KNOW it's going to be down at times and I KNOW it won't be perfect, but I just want something with reasonable uptime and if I bring up an issue (hey, channel 123 isn't working) they'll at least acknowledge it and get it working in a reasonable time, and if possible, the added bonus of VOD.
