IPTV main backend providers

I understand that IPTV resellers use a few common backend providers. How many are there?

Does anyone know the common names for these backend providers?

Also, I understand that if you're going to buy a backup IPTV service that it's, obviously, better to get the backend from different providers, how do people find out who is supplying who? and know that they have independent backend providers?

Any help would be great!

I'm currently with RoyaltyTV and am looking to use Helix as a backup, but if they use the same source then there is no point. I just don't know how to find out :)

Looking for a UK IPTV Provider with Sky Channel Numbering?

Not sure if its possible at all, but we're currently in the process of cancelling our Sky package and we're thinking of trying out IPTV.

To make it as easy as possible for my parents to use, i'm looking for a provider with channel numbering similar to Sky (UK)?

Does any one know of one that will provide such a thing?

Thanks

Device Recommendation: Pause Live TV, Record, Ease of Use - Dreamlink T1? T2? Mag 256?

I'm new to the IPTV world. I currently have a Freeview box (i.e. standard UK television) and a Chromecast; I am leaning towards ditching the Freeview and running the Dreamlink T2.

Here's what I'm looking for:

  • Pause live TV
  • Smooth, easy-to-use UI with TV guide
  • Record programmes to HDD
  • Integrate with dedicated IPTV provider like Helix, Vader etc.

Am I right to be leaning towards the Dreamlink T2?

Also, is there any device that supports a TV aerial for showing channels that don't need to come via the internet? For example, streaming BBC1-HD over the internet seems a waste when it's freely available through my existing aerial.

Everyone's thoughts on the upcoming EPL season with regards to the new High court block

Wondering everyone's thoughts on the new court block, Some people say it's no different than the last block, but I have this nagging thought that the broadband suppliers are going to cut the streaming servers from the internet,
So basically like when u don't pay ur internet bill your disconnected.

Multi device discounts?

I have 5 TVs in the house (big family) and we are already using IPTV on one device (via Vader). I am thinking of moving the other devices over, but at some point, regular cable is cheaper since the device count doesn't impact cost. Are there IPTV providers that provide multi device discounts?

Alternative EPG link for my provider?

Is there an alternative EPG I can use with Vaders? I thought I had gone to the link r/http://vaders.tv/p2.xml.gz before and it opened in browser and it was something readable. Now it's just a scrambled mess which my Z7+ can't seem to load up by the looks of it. It still works fine in ProgDVB so I'm not sure what's going on.

IPTV service recommendation.

I am seeking an IPTV service that has US and Indian TV channels. I am located on the US west coast.

Going to run this off of a Fire TV Device. Just got it from amazon prime day deals.

Want to get some trials so I can test out the channel line up and also looking for a service that is not very expensive to pay month to month.

Any recommendations for Providers ? So far research suggest that Vader's is the one that everyone likes.

Does anyone use StreamingTVGuides.com as an EPG alternative? It has the lineups for popular streaming services (Sling, PS Vue,...). The "Favorites" section of preferences could be adapted to provide a programming guide.

STB Blocked

So, I have a new mag 322 box. I signed up for a Nitro Trial and the person set me up. When I load the portal, I get 'STB blocked'. But when I hit "Account info" (the yellow button), I see my correct MAC address and the trial expiry date which is tomorrow. He reset my mac, I rebooted box and router multiple times, no luck.
But, I just installed STB Emu on my phone and all I entered was the MAC address from the box and the portal, and it loaded fine on the phone.
What could the cause be? Did someone use my MAC before with this service using STB Emu, and now their database always expects an STB Emu connection and not a real MAG?
