Is there a way of integrating the Kodi Live TV guide with an IPTV provider?

Hi all,

I don't know if i'm alone with this request or not, but I am a heavy TVheadend user with a local instance in the UK of just Freeview channels. I like it as my family are now used to it, and with the Live TV guide being in the standard Kodi interface, it's easy to back out to other sections like Movies etc.

I've tried a few IPTV providers and also On-Tapp EPG and they're fine, but I prefer the native Kodi Live TV EPG for familiarity. I've not yet found a way of integrating the channel selections you can get from premium IPTV providers with the inbuilt standard Kodi "Live TV" EPG, can it be done?

Kodi add on for iptvexpress

So I followed the steps from iptv craze and sadly the repo won't work just says couldn't not connect. Anyone happen to have an alternative method or even the addon itself if possible ? Wanted to give express a try before going back to tvsubs again .

I screwed up and purchased a subscription through iptvchannels

I used IPTVchannels reseller to purchase 3 months of service on Monday, and have yet to hear from them. I researched them a bit more on this Reddit and people say to avoid! I saw some suggestions to use the reseller, I guess I did not research enough. I purchased on a CC, do you think I can reverse the charge? Wasted 60$ cdn, I can live without it but still annoying.

I advise using another reseller! Any suggestions for a good reseller, Canadian one would be optimal.

Is subscribing to paid IPTV services really as dangerous as tvaddonsdotag post suggest?

Hey all,

Any opinions on the recent post by tvaddonsdotag regarding dangers of subscribing to paid IPTV services? More specifically, this part: "Before getting started, it is important that you understand that according to the rule of the law (not necessarily yet set in precedent, but you don't want to be the first) paying for a paid IPTV service is far more illegal than simply accessing free content online, it could be considered fraud. I'd suggest consulting with a lawyer if you value your clean record."

How-To Safely Subscribe to a Paid IPTV/Sports Service (If You Absolutely Must)

Since it seems like the majority of people on this thread are interested in this, even though TV ADDONS strongly discourages the use of these services, I figured that explaining how I would go about purchasing a membership to one of these services would be the responsible thing to do.

Before getting started, it is important that you understand that according to the rule of the law (not necessarily yet set in precedent, but you don't want to be the first) paying for a paid IPTV service is far more illegal than simply accessing free content online, it could be considered fraud. I'd suggest consulting with a lawyer if you value your clean record.

Information on the Potential Risks: https://www.tvaddons.ag/iptv-streaming-warning/

Now, onto what you actually want to hear about, how you can ensure you don't end up in legal trouble when subscribing to a paid IPTV service:

ONLY USE SERVICES THAT ACCEPT BITCOIN - keep in mind that Bitcoin is very easy to trace back to you, since there is a public ledger that traces all transactions, so follow these instructions below.

Step 1: Get a VPN (Some that I recommend are: https://www.tvaddons.ag/best-vpn-2016/ )

Step 2: Install the VPN apps on your Android Box, Computer and Mobile Phone, and Make Sure That It's Running!

Step 3: Download the TextMe App to your Mobile Phone. Use a mailinator.com address (check their site, it gives you a throw away email) to create your account, and don't input your real phone number during the account creation process!

Step 4: Create a Dummy Gmail Account (Use the local phone number you get using the TextMe app to verify the account registration, since you are behind a VPN it will be necessary.

Step 5: Signup to LocalBitcoins.com with your Dummy Gmail Account and Use your TextMe phone number, be sure to put a novelty name and address, and not your real information. If the seller needs a phone number, use your TextMe number, tell them to text message only since it only includes minimal calling time for free, and if you have to pay it'll take the anonymity out of it.

Step 6: Arrange to meet someone local to buy the amount of Bitcoins you need. Have them transfer the Bitcoins into your LocalBitcoins.com wallet, in front of you of course. I'd recommend buying enough for a few months of service, so you don't have to go through the hassle every month.

Step 7: Choose whichever paid IPTV service you wish to use! Again, ensure you are using a VPN and use your novelty gmail address and not any of your real information. If you're going to go with one of these services, use the biggest one with the best repuation, don't use "little guy" because the smaller services are known to disappear.

Step 8: Pay for your service subscription with Bitcoin of course, using the Bitcoins you bought earlier.

Step 9: Configure the paid service addon on your device, confirm that you have your VPN app running before each time you use it, even if it's on your Android TV box. Again: ALWAYS USE YOUR VPN, AT ALL TIMES!

That's pretty much it. The only weak link would be the TextMe app, but it's minimal risk, if you want to be 100% safe you could use a prepaid mobile phone instead.

Is there anyway to turn IPTVsubs "list" of channels into an interactive TV guide?

I'm setting up a raspberry pi based Kodi for my (not very savvy) parents and it would be so much easier if there was a way to turn the list of channels into a TV guide.

Thanks for your help!

Heads up for IPTVsubs subscribers

Hey everyone, just a quick heads up to anyone having trouble accessing IPTVsubs. I use the Kodi app and had to renew on Tuesday but even though my payment processed, the app didn't update my expiration. After downloading the new version everything works fine.

Just wanted to save some hassle if anyone else was having issues. I sent an email and a ticket to their "support" and haven't heard anything back. Unless they can get their shit together before my next renewal, I'll be shopping around for a new provider.

How to offer IPTV?

Hi, we are a local ISP here in South Florida. We only do business but are trying to get into the residential market. In order to do this, we need to offer TV. At first I was thinking to stream Dish Network or Satellite (after converting signals to IPTV) and then custom STBs for the customers. My issue is, how do I even get started with obtaining the rights to rebroadcast signals? I can't just use the contact form on Dish.com. Any other solutions that exist that I have not though of? Maybe using OTA antennas and contact the networks directly to rebroadcast? I want to offer something like a sling tv service. Maybe even just reselling sling would work but I don't want the customer to have to sign up directly, I want to handle the access and billing.

Lag Free Providers for Non-US/UK Viewers?

I live "down under" and looking for some feedback from other users about lag free providers. I've tried NTV and works great. The only downside is price. I've tried Dexter and while many channels do work, there is still a lot of lag compared to NTV. Can any users here who don't live in the UK/USA provide some feedback on the quality of providers they use? I'm looking for lag free ones. Thanks.
