8 Months ago, I posted a link to my then-hobby project: m3u-editor.com
A lot has happened since, and the editor now serves thousands of users. I have used their feedback to try and build the most complete M3U IPTV software out there, and thought to share an update I think makes the tool very complete.
One of the most requested features is a dedicated EPG service built-in the tool. I have launched exactly that.
Instead of having to import an existing EPG XML file, one can now simply select the countries they want to include in their EPG, and a customised EPG file is created instantly. In the editor, the channels can then be matched to the available channels by searching within the EPG and aligning the TVG-IDs.
Without getting into much of the technology, this means that M3U Editor can now serve is a one-stop-shop for all M3U related tweaks and edits.
Hello!
Last year I've been working on my indie project called IPTV - Streams. After some years in the field, I've tried to put everything I've got into my own app. It's an IPTV app, but it has an emphasis on let you watch your favorites content. So, you can add your playlists and start watching while everything will be synced through iCloud.
App Store Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/iptv-streams/id1492179924

It should feel right at home on iOS, as I always stick to Apple's human interface guidelines for design and UX. My goal is to keep growing the app to really take advantage of Apple's platform. It has some other things I'm proud of as well that help it stand out:
I'd love any feedback or thoughts on it, it releases Thursday. My vision is to keep building it up and make it available on every single Apple platform (iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS and macOS). Thanks for checking it out!
Some common questions:
How is this different from the other iptv apps?
IPTV-Streams has an emphasis on keeping you very close to your content. It should not take more than 2 clicks since you open the app and start watching your favorite channel across any Apple Device.
Most apps will have a complex import system or even missing some important extensions like .ts (one of the most common extensions nowadays) .
I would not compare this app design with any other in the store ;)
Plus, it's the sole focus is iOS and Apple's platforms, which means I'll always ensure it keeps best in class design and platform features integrated.
What kind of playlist would I be able to watch?
Beta testers have made all sorts of streams. Most common:
- M3U8 Some of our beloved beta testers used the app to watch their favorites movies or tv shows
- TS Some used to watch live channels like (news, sports, tech)
- And my favorite example recently, laying down and relax watching some cartoons with their kids.
- etc...
I'll be checking this post out all day, if there are any questions at all I could answer I'd be more than happy to.
