App similar to Tivimate

I use tivimate for IPTV. It has a simple and intuitive interface but I hate the fact that epg with auto update is a premium feature. Does anyone know some app with an interface similar to tivimate with auto epg?

iProTv app: recording live channels 🥳

Hi 👋 A quick update for next version. i just send the v1.2 to Apple for review.

In the next version you will be able to record live channels (iPhone, iPad and Apple tv), yep you can record and then re-watch your recording right from the app! Better, you can download your records from using any device with a browser (mac, pc, tablette, phone etc) 🤩

Here’s a video of how it will work: record in my phone, download it into my macbook ! (You can do the same with your Apple tv)

https://streamable.com/tpfv2

Complete release note:

  • Now you can record live channels !!!
  • Download recordings from an other device via your browser
  • Last watched are now added to the end of 'Continue Watching' section
  • Now you can display/hide continue watching section.
  • Add info in swipe down for live channels
  • M3U playlist and EPG will be updated every 24 hours.
  • Fix Media title size in truncated
  • Other bug fixe.

I want to thank you all for your support and feedbacks ☺️

New iptv user

I got an iptv but local channels(CNN, Fox etc) after few minutes the voice and video of those channels don’t match. For example voice comes before and videos comes after. I tried to turn off and on and also changed my iptv but the problem is still there. Is there something i should be doing?

Firestick Alternatives

Been using my amazon firestick for about six months now, have a solid IPTV with its own apk which runs perfect, and I have Cinema with RD working fine as well.

However, I recently noticed that large RD files or UHD streams really struggle to load, lots of stop start. Decided to run a speed test on the firestick itself, came in at 25mbps download speed. I have 500mbps fiber which runs at 350-400 through a VPN on 5ghz WiFi which the firestick is connected to but I'm getting no where near the speeds.

The router is beside the TV so I'm looking for a box that has a lan port so I can plug straight in to get the most of my speeds.

I've seen a lot of talk about shields but no one has ever explained the full features and capabilities compared to a firestick, and I know there's websites out there but nearly all of them are linked to a specific box that they're trying to sell so I'm looking for real evidence here.

Gimme the suggestions and why it's better than a firestick! Muchas gracias

VOD tv series (and movies)

I think we’ll be watching a lot series now that sports are done for a while.

Been using ok2 but their tv series VOD has no way to search or save. It’s impossible to go through because it’s not even alphabetical.

I use Apple devices. Is this my app (GSE) or is it the provider? If provider, who offers a better interface and great selection?

Thanks.

Droidbox Update

UPDATE 1:

Hi All,

We have compiled a test version of the application for Android. Trials can be requested via this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/IPTV/comments/fik9v6/droidbox_request_for_android_testers/

---

Hello again streamers,

It has been a while since we posted an update on DroidBox. Over the past few weeks we've been busy redesigning the UI to make the application aligned with what our fellow Reddit testers were expecting. The new UI should hopefully be easier to use and navigate and also friendlier for users who are moving from traditional set-top-boxes.

Would appreciate if you let us know what you think in the comments below.

Main Menu

The Main Menu is pretty much unchanged. We have removed the web browser functionality as it was not playing nicely with most websites and we do not feel that it is a necessity in an IPTV application (What do you guys think?). In the future, once all core functionality are ready and tested, we hope to create a dedicated YouTube player.

Live TV Screen

The "Live TV" screen was changed to accommodate for EPG and program overview. When a channel is selected, the channel will start playing inside a mini-player at the top of the screen; selecting the same channel again will take the user to the FullScreen player where functions such as volume controls are available. This should make it easier for users to quickly check what programmes are airing on their favorite channels. A sidebar was also created for users to filter channels by Area.

Movies Screen

The layout of the "VOD" screen was also changed as per feedback. We are now showing the available movies in a grid rather than a list view. This not only makes better use of the available space, but is also more aligned with other media centers. Selecting a movie shows the rating and a brief description of the movie. From here, a user has the option to go ahead and play the movie or go back and select a different on. As with the Live screen, a side bar has been created to only show videos relating to certain Genres.

Settings Screen

The final screen is the "Settings" screen. Along with account information, we've added the possibility for users to select the default aspect ratio of the streams being played and an option to enable or disable hardware decoding.

We are designing DroidBox to be as easy-to-use as possible. If you have suggestions on what we can do to make the application better, please do let us know!

PS: A request for testers will be made later on today (Saturday 14 March), on this thread

Name suggestion for an iptv Web player [free]

Hi at all,

I'm the developer of iptveditor.com. I'm developing a web player for iptv and It will be free for all and probably open source. It is an heavy modded and (super) improved version of a player for resellers. I took only the graphic interface, fixed the graphic interface issue and rewrote most of the code to be mainly client side. I added support for generic m3u url instead of xtream api, with tons of fix and graphic optimization. The player is also optimized for smartphone (there are still some limitations, but it depends from the touchscreen-html).

The development is quite over, the player is working and it supports both live streams, movies and tv series with an automatic movie info synchronization.

Let's come to the important part. I have no idea how to call the player. I was thinking something like iptvplayer, but it is quite sad and generic. I see around super names like "tivimate" or implayer. So, which name do you think is properly for a web player?

How to get started? I am so overwhelmed and confused.

I am trying start using iptv but just not able to understand where to start. I tried all the subreddits mentioned here to find some good service but its just so overwhelming. I am not asking for recommendations (well i am looking for it but its against the rules so dont want this removed) but what I am looking for is how to get started and where to find information. I have fire stick 4k and mainly looking to get us & indian content so how should one go about it. I tried going to sellers subreddit but its total spam. Tried reviews subreddit but that is just basically, please avoid this or a seller pretending to write a review.

Also what is resellers ? How do i know who is a reseller and who is "original"?

I never thought this would be so confusing. so any help would be appreciated.

*mods please let me know if I am breaking any rules and i can edit the post (please dont remove it)

VPN approach for IPTV - Same Country or Different?

Just wanted to check what you guys do in terms of VPN links. Do you connect to a provider in the same country as you, or select another country which has more favourable laws? I am in the UK, but the connections to the Netherlands are pretty decent?

It is a balancing act of connection speed vs risk of authorities forcing an IP addresses request from VPN Suppliers.

Best dedicated box for streaming m3u files

Kodi is actually complete crap for running IPTV, despite what people say. People are usually running an OS (AndroidTV), and Kodi (another OS, sandboxed) within their primary OS, and then Kodi is running a bunch of addons and plugins while running another software to decode IPTV.

Ideally you'd want to run an IPTV decoding minimalist OS. I'm totally against using Kodi, because it hogs the memory off whatever device it's using, even in LibreElec.

Is there an open source OS I can use for my raspberry pi 3b that would take me directly to the channel listings and EPG? If not an OS for the Pi, is there a dedicated IPTV box that would give me that experience? For me, EPG/channel switching speed is much more important than what other fancy features and software I can run on the box.

Player Support - one player buffers constantly the other is ok - Advice?

Hi all,

Fairly new to all this IPTV so looking for some advice. I am trying to find a set-up that works for Sky F1. I am particularly keen to both watch-live, and also record it whilst I am out.

I just bought IPTV Extreme Pro and started watching some F1 Reruns to check the capability. Unfortunately I am getting buffering every 30 seconds. The very odd thing is that the free version IPTV Extreme works fine as does Tivimate.

  1. So the query is, does anyone have any ideas what might be going on? I tried increasing the buffer to absorb peaks and troughs etc, but no luck.
  2. What players other would you recommend that can record to an external SD card?

Pretty sure I cannot blame the IPTV provider (which is a 1 day trial) seeing as it works fine with other players.

Thanks for your help

My set-up:

  • New Nvidea Shield
  • Gigabyte LAN ethernet connection
  • Virgin Fibre 350mb
  • IPVanish - connected to in-country server
