Hello /r/IPTV

I succesfully configured a radio server via Icecast + Mixxx on my Linux remote server. The stream successfully works at the address: "serverip/stream.m3u", but it needs to be open by VLC or something.

I'd like to stream without the need to download anything for the live broadcast listeners.

I'm looking to get into the IPTV game but at this point haven't dabbled yet. I'm looking for insight on two topics: IPTV providers and apps

IPTV providers: Can you please explain some of the differences between the more "mainstream" options like Beast TV versus the resellers that are seen here on Reddit and why I might choose one over another?

Apps: I'm interested in the most user-friendly platform with best EPG (both very important for wife buy-in) that will work on Nvidia shield or android TV. I use Emby for VOD and would prefer to use it for IPTV as well unless there is a glaring shortcoming to going this route. I realize that a premiere membership is required for this which is fine because it would make things simpler for the family. I'm not sure if an EPG service would be necessary or not if going the emby route. Edit to add: Catch up and or recording capabilities are important for us to have, specifically for NFL games

Hi, I've recently started getting an issue whereby my Perfect Player gets as far as the first screen with the loading bar in the centre and the bar keeps filling up and then resetting while not letting me get into the area where I can watch my streams.

Do any of you guys know any solutions to my particular problem?

My internet speed on WiFi is 250 megs a sec but I still get some buffering issues. My router is about 3 inches away from the fire stick. I was considering getting an Ethernet Adaptor to directly connect into the fire stick. Does anyone think this will help my buffering issues?

My current service is pretty good. Buffers here and there.

I have it hooked into perfect player currently but have purchased tivimate. If I switch everything over to tivimate, will I get a better experience? Not sure if , buffering is buffering, and nothing can correct that.

Hello guys, Do you know some good external player for IPTV like VLC and Plex for Amazon FireStick? Thank you so much.

My VOD has been slow to respond for the last couple of days, today i couldn't back out of a program, i had to unplug my firestick and restart it. Now when i boot up my firestick it goes to the home screen, the up pops VOD and it takes me to the home screen of VOD and my remote wont work so i'm stuck like this.

Does anybody know a way to get back off the VOD? If the remote seems to be no longer working?

I've installed ministra on my smart TV, but when it looks for the server it says no Internet connection.

It seems like the permissions are wrong, and it's being blocked data services... But I'd be interested if anyone had seen this problem before?

I’m using an IpTV service that unfortunately has no m3u playlist or file. I’ve managed to set it up through Kodi with Stalker Client and the live tv works great with epg but no VOD or Catchup. I heard about potato tv but that it only works with iptv simple client. Anything I can do?

So I've recently purchased tivimate premium and have edited my m3u playlist using m3u4u but when I added my new playlist its still loading the original unedited playlist. And also epg wont load

Not sure if this is the right area to ask. I have tried various different IPTV providers and each of their XMLTV URLs have the same issue where with Plex after I have added in my xTeVe server each show has New against the title and the episode airing date rather than the season/episode number.

I've heard that you need to have the local server IP rather than the network IP address when adding the xTeVe server URL in to Plex, have tried this however have no luck. I have also tried tagging the channels as TV Series and Movie channels as Movies with no difference. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I've recently got into IPTV and got myself a nice IPTV service that provides me a .m3u8 or .m3u playlist with all the channels. As recommended I then use an app called SS IPTV on my LG WebOS smart tv.

The app works just fine and it's very robust, but I prefer to have my channels operate as the regular antenna channels because I find it more comfortable if I have them integrated within the default TV UI rather then in a separate, 3rd party app.

Now I have a small Ubuntu server under my TV that I use for Emby and I'm looking for a way to perhaps add some PVR card/box that is capable of output and connect it to my TV with a coax cable directly into the antenna jack with the goal being that the channels will appear as standard antenna channels (look at it as closed circuit cable TV).

So far I wasn't able to find anything like this but I believe I just use the wrong terminology when searching. Is this is possible and easily achievable with off the shelve card/box/stb etc. and with some standard software that is available for Ubuntu Linux or even better is there some sort of Set Top Box that I can hook the IPTV playlist to and then has a coax output that I can hook to my TV?

Portal seems to load, then when the bar is full, it crashes with a white screen and returns you to the Home menu. Never had that happen before, Sub is good for another month. Have the same app on another Xiaomi and it works flawlessly with a different provider. Usually when your sub is up you get a "contact provider" notice, not a hard crash. Any other emulators I should have them look at? Thanks in advance...

I recently bought a mag 322w1 and pretty much nothing plays smoothly on it. My nets usually pretty good even with speeds of 40-50 its just not watchable. And box pretty much freezes at some point every day.

The question I'm wondering is whether it's just a shit box and would the nvidia shield for example be any better.
