I’m new to IPTV and I am using expedite as a provider. All the how to say to use Lenox, but there are some things that I really dislike. Is there an alternative to Lenox that would work with expedite?

Hey guys. I‘m watching my iptv from an android box with stbemu. Is there an app for my iphone where i can watch iptv with my stbemu settings ?

Am having trouble with a couple of these boxes, they work ok, but then they freeze when going through the channel selection lists and have to be unplugged from the power to get them to restart. Have tried updating firmware, but doesn't seem to solve the problem. Has anybody got a link to a properly working firmware by any chance.

Curious if anyone has anything working on roku???

I have two Mag 322s and a Mag 254 running IPGuys. Been with them for years and only now am I having trouble.

I have one box running perfectly on ethernet. The other two were running great until they expired. I paid my re-up and have evidence the months are on the boxes but neither is able to run the service on either ethernet or WiFi.

Spoke to my provider and he said to unplug the router and modem, which I did but still nothing works. He said he has no other suggestions because he's never seen this before but is convinced it's internet-related.

I got new internet 2 weeks ago, if that helps and have the modem running WiFi on main and 2nd floors, and Google Mesh running in the basement.

The program starts loading and then an 'Authentication Required' box pops up.

Any help would be great!

I am new to this whole IPTV thing, and I see 2 of the most popular live TV apps are LiveNetTV and TiviMate. But I can never find a comparison between the two.

Do they serve the same purpose? are they competing? or are they 2 completely different programs?

Edit: Boy, I've learned a lot from all of these replies and some supplemental research.
I think I'll be going with the Shield because it's a very solid system and will allow me to have gaming capabilities in the future.
I didn't realize that I could use Emby for both VOD and IPTV. I really like the emby setup so when I choose an IPTV provider, I will make sure it is one that shares the m3u link so that I can view through emby. This will allow me to get buy-in from my wife because of the simplicity of accessing all of our media through one app that is easy to navagate. I'll make sure my IPTV provider has catch-up available, that way we won't have to worry about DVRing NFL games since we always get to them within a few hours.

I'm new to all of this. Recently introduced myself to Emby and have just now started reading on IPTV. I'm trying to figure out what is going to best suit my (and my wife's) needs while successfully cutting the cord.

1. DVR functionality is a must. I need to be able to record live NFL games while living outside of the service area of the team that I follow. I think that we would need an IPTV box to achieve this. Can IPTV be easily recorded on the Shield? Any thoughts on the best way (and easy enough for a non-tech savvy spouse) to record live games? Sometimes we begin watching within an hour of kickoff, sometimes not until the game has ended.
2. I like the setup of the Emby shares I have seen. Looks close enough to mainstream VOD services that my wife could navigate. Are the subscription IPTV services comparable to emby shares in terms of user friendliness and VOD programming available? Live TV isn't a biggie for us except for the aforementioned NFL games.
3. Any other thoughts on IPTV vs Emby shares and what kind of box you think would be best for my situation would be greatly appreciated.

It would be great if I could do everything I want with the Shield because I like the prospect of having a single box, and one that I can run all of the old school gaming emulators on. I'm currently in a very poor internet area, but will be moving in a couple of months and want to figure out the best set up for us before then so we can cut the cord when we move.

I was trying to record a certain IPTV channel that my IPTV provider has not added to the catch up channels yet. I was hoping to record the channel right before leaving for work. But when I did a record test...i noticed that after a few hours the IPTV would go into a standby mode.

Anyone know of an IPTV service that does not go into standby?

Using sling tv for the first. No buffering. Got me wondering if I really need a Iptv sub....

Hopefully you can help me out with a question that's been bugging me for a while and that I'm having a discussion with my IPTV provider regarding catch-up. The provider says he's using XC portal and according to him it's not possible to catch up live-tv while it's still running and the file is only available only after the program ends. However, that is certainly not the case for me all the time and I'm thinking a setting exists that could prolong it.

Here is the basic idea: for tv programs that have recently started and have a duration up to 60 minutes, it is possible to go back to the start of the program. Let's say 20 minutes have passed, you go in the catch-up for the TV guide (i'm using tvip 605 box) , start the program and it shows 20 minutes total duration. After these 20 minutes, you have to restart the show and it'll have a duration of 40 minutes - you get the idea.
However, for programs longer than 60 minutes that isn't possible and at no point until the end of the program is it possible to start from the beginning.

According to the provider, this is not even possible to do in XC and it's an "anomaly". I am strongly convinced that it's possible to tweak and allow for programs longer than 60 minutes to start.

Who is right here? If it's me - what is the setting to be changed server-side to change this?

I cant for the life of me get rid of buffering. Will buffer on low BW channels sometimes as well. I have Spectrum 400. 16x8 700mbps router(ac1600)/ modem. Please help. Works perfectly on phone tablet etc... the firestick is my problem. Have expressvpn even without it buffers.

I've only had this Fire Stick for about 2 days so I'm not quite sure what's going on with the STB app. I was watching Dexter yesterday and all seasons were available. Today I tried watching it again but most of the content is gone. Only the 2 episodes I watched are available to watch. I tried restarting the app, deleting cache but it'a still the same.

Also yesterday when I scrolled through the TV Series section all tv shows were visible. Now I can only see the categories (Action, Animation, Comedy, etc) and have to click on each to see the show names.

Any help? Thanks a lot in advance, I'm a bit clueless on what to do.

I just got the z8 box with a 4k server and all the channels are showing 1280i*720i resolution when i press info button, and they don’t seem all that clear. I have gigabit internet...how do i fix this?

Hello ladies and gents ! My Z8 remote changes my stereo settings (mutes it when changing channels etc), does anybody know how to stop it from interfering?

Apollo TV has been shut down permanently per a cease and desist order from multiple media outlets. All data gas been removed from servers, and website has been taken down. Big Brother wins again, unfortunately.
