My current provider i use is called orbital streams and they are a great service, however i would like a backup service in case theres issues, i mainly watch sports but i am looking to cut the cord with virgin media

I hastily purchased a 6 month subscription for a france based IPTV provider. While on the whole, I'm pretty happy with it, there are some areas where it is lacking, and where competing services appear more complete.

But if I sign up on a new subscription (or trial) does it add to or does it replace the channels I have already?
I don't want to lose what I have already! Thanks.

I've been trialing a few services, and noticed that when watching the BT Sport FHD channels via Rapid, I was actually getting quite a low quality stream. I checked the stream bitrate via VLC and it was showing as around 2500-3000.

I checked the bitrate for the same channel with another provider I am trialling, and the bitrate was 7000-8000. The stream was quite clearly higher quality.

I can only conclude from this that Rapid is capping the bitrate of FHD channels. This is a shame, because apart from that channel switching and stability was very good.

The other provider (that actually does have FHD channels) is €19/month, which is quite a bit more expensive.

Is it common practice to cap stream bitrates? How can I find a provider that actually provides full HD streams for the channels that say they are full HD?

Hey Im a n00b researching dumping cable and going with iptv. My neighbor has iptv and has an Nvidia shield but he says the main reason he has the Nvidia is for watching UFC & NBA without any buffering. In his bedroom he uses goobang box he got off amazon, which is fine for tv. I will be mainly watching tv and movies. I am also upping my Internet to 300Mbps, which my neighbor thinks is more than enough. I was looking at the informir 322 and was wondering if it is good enough or is there something else I should check out

I've found a couple IPTV providers I like but they all seem to have sizeable sections of the EPG info missing, especially the "West" version of channels. Is there anyway to get a more complete EPG including these west channels?

So for the last year or so I have been using a Formuler Z7+, paid a fortune on the provision I would be able to use it not just for the IPTV functionality - which works relatively well - but for the android and associated functionality that brings. Needless to say it has been issue after issue and I am planning to switch device.

This time I think I'm going to go for one of the Mi Box or Nvidia Shield devices, which run Android TV OS - meaning I can rely on it to be more functional overall.

The issue I have is not knowing which app will be best to use to give me similar functionality to MYTVOnline, ie TV catchup, VOD, EPG etc. Have no issues with buying an app if I know it's going to be functional, but there are just so many apps which show up as options.

(I do not wish to use M3U apps like Perfect Player, in my experience they tend to be a lot less reliable than using the portal, as well as often being further behind in the live coverage than portal also.)

First time poster, be gentle please. Right now I am (over) paying for 2 subscriptions on 2 mag boxes. I am paying $45 a month each = $90 / month for both and I am now aware it's too much. I like my service and channels. I'm an American living in Central Europe, and I am using mag dot cline dot in. I DO NOT want to be contacted by any other re-sellers, but I want to know if anyone knows how I can use that service from without paying $1000 a year for 2 mag boxes, like go right to the source. My subscription ends on April 25th, so I don't have much time.

I want to create an IPTV from my PC with contents from the PC. Only a few device on the local network will connect to it. Is there an application/software where I can just import media and it will create an EPG and export an m3u link. This is a self hosted and only on my PC.

TVzon, Prime, and Epic Streams were all buffering.

Anyone have a different experience with their provider?

Iv'e had this service for about a month now and its been great. But this past week it has been awful. It buffers like crazy. Sports is what I mainly watch. Anybody have any idea whats going on?

I know it is possible to record but can you set up a future recording somehow? All the videos I have seen the only way to record is to long press on a channel and select record and for how many minutes. Also can you record more then one program at once?

Does anyone know of any providers who have full HD SkySports feeds that are sourced from actual boxes (rather than the crappy SkyGo/NOWTV feeds that have a rectangle at the bottom right of the screen. The actual FHD feeds say 'HD' at the top right next to the channel name)? I know Globe provide such feeds to multiple providers but I think they were taken down recently so I was just wondering if anyone knew any other providers?

Also, does anyone know of any providers who provide BT Sport FHD sourced from the BT Web player (has a white box at the top right)? These feeds are 50fps and are much better than all other feeds.

Is there some clever way than one can get around the horrendous, tedious task of entering long URLs into Kodi, IPtv software or whatever? Feels like it takes forever using the TV remote or the shield controller!

I have a MAG 322 W1 which has a strange problem, every now and then it will go to a black screen and does not come back on until left unplugged overnight. When this happens the box itself shows a white light and is unresponsive and unplugging for a short time just goes through the boot up screen which then loads to the black screen. I have gone in the bootup menu and haven't changed anything on the box itself.

But now as I use the box more I would like to solve the issue as it is annoying to not have it working when needed.

My MAG unit is updated to the newest firmware. And, I do not really turn off the box rather just turn off my TV - is this the right way to operate it?

Any ideas on what I can do to get it working without freezing?

EDIT: I had posted trying to fix a frozen magbox and also found out that the portal was blocked. Frozen magbox issue was resolved by flashing to another firmware and my provider gave me a new portal so all is well. Thank you for all the helpful comments and u/nickjallday for pointing me towards the transitional FW.

So BeastTV has screwed up the UK section of Sky, along with the EPG of course.

Anyway, im wanting an edited EPG anyway, and so someone recommended xtream-editor(sorry if i spelt it wrong)

My question is, since the EPG for BeastTV doesn't work for the Sky Channels, do i need another EPG subscription (if so, who provides one?) or does xtream-editor have it (standard or pro?)
