MyTVOnline 2 Update (Formuler)

Last night, Formuler pushed a huge update to MyTVOnline 2. However, when I updated, then launch the app, it goes to software update screen and stays there. No way to get back into the app. I’ve tried everything.

In the end, I did a factory reset and avoided the update which means I can use the app again. However, I would really like to take advantage of the new features.

Does anyone know how I can get out of the updates screen and get into the app?

Thank you to anyone who could help

IPTV resolution not changing from 1280x720

For the passed few months, my IPTV hasn't been occupying the entire screen on SD channels and occupying far too much screen on HD channels as the resolution is stuck at 1280x720, regardless of what I do.

My provider told me to use the inner portal, but any time I try to, I get hit with a connection error.

Lads I need help, it's Champion's Cup day.

Recording like Tivo on IPTV

Good day folks.. I'm trying to move off of Tivo and cable and into IPTV with a method of recording. Some great help on the forums here from all. One thing I'm missing though, is there a player tool that allows me to set a specific series to be recorded in the future each time a new show is on similar to Tivo?

Paid IPTV Basically Functioning - Need Help/Advice Maximizing for my Setup

Hi all,

Thank you in advance for your thoughts and insight.

Hardware:

  • IPTV service with the cotton candy background :)
  • Nvidia Shield, with WD NAS attached
  • TCL 55" 4k TV (with built in Roku)
  • Denon AVR and 5.1 surround Sound
  • I use Plex client and have my own Plex Server, but, have not splurged on a Plex Pass yet (willing to if it would significantly improve my experience)
  • Macbook Air laptop
  • iPhone

Current:

Macbook Air/iPhone - Not much luck with these devices (my fault though). I downloaded the M3u and M3U Plus files provided by the IPTV provider and played around with them on my macbook air. I was able to open the M3Us in VLC as a proof of concept, but, did not have the main page, guide, etc. I know there are a lot less options for Mac than PC, but, I think I need to invest in some software if I planned on using it on my macbook air often. Any recommendations? The service has a "Web TV Player" link, but, chrome was not able to show any of the video due to an error message. Not even sure where I would start on my iPhone/ios. Provider also provides a "Mag Portal", but, I haven't been able to find out what that means yet.

TV & NVIDIA SHIELD + WD NAS - I have had much more success with this method. After installing the APK, I was able to use my user and pass to login and begin to play around with the homescreen, guide, settings, etc. I'm not sure if there are any recommended changes to the default settings, but, I basically kept most the same.

Questions:

* Do you know if this service supports catchup and if so, how to get that working? Specific information on the APK
is hard to find and sparse. I believe there was a setting that could be changed that had a default value of 0, which
may be related to this, however, I could be completely wrong.

* There is a box on the main screen that is for recordings. When I clicked on the box the next screen said, "no
recordings", as expected. I am not planning on recording, as it seems the service providers are a lot more heavy
handed on people who record rather than stream (even though both aren't pleasant), but, what would be some
recommended ways people have done that. Do they use a separate piece of special hardware or would a hard
drive or NAS , with the right setup be all you need?

* Is there a way to setup, if the IPTV APK needs additional space than the 12GB on the Shield itself, is there a way to
make sure any overflow goes to the NAS or should I reconsider my existing setup?

*What are the best practices for setting up a paid VPN. Is it as simple as subscribing, downloading the VPN
provider's app from the google play store and setting it up. I could be wrong but a VPN will most likely kill speeds
and make 4K content unstreamable, correct? I heard 4K movies need a minimum bandwidth 150-200 mbps
correct?

Thank you again for your time and I look forward to being able to give back to the community as I become more competent.

All things being equal, how much buffering is acceptable?

By all things being equal I mean: A fast internet connection (>50mbps), a properly configured IPTV app, an Ethernet-wired box, and a paid IPTV service. Meaning, no obvious variables on the user end that could be affecting network speed.

Is buffering expected even with this scenario? How often, how much? Is there a tangible difference between budget and premium IPTV services?

I want to convert a list from ts. to hls (m3u8)

Hi,

I have a custom made list, which I have made. This is from three IPTV providers. The list is big, so I cannot change #EXTINF:0 to #EXTINF:-1 on every channel. I t will take way to long time.

I want to change from ts. to .m3u8 since channels are buffering 10-15 seconds every time before they starts when ts. (mpeg). Hls is much, much better.

Is there a program which I an use to convert from mpeg to hls?

Thanks! :)

How to create a m3u list

Hi- my cable provider (Fioptics) provides channel rtp:// for local channels. They only provide the rtp:// and name... no other coding. So I can play individual channels in VLC... but how do I combine them all into 1 m3u? I guess Pastebin... but I am sure I need more code. Is there an m3u creator where I just paste in the rtp:// addresses???

difference 25 and 50fps

I have recently singed up with helix and noticed they have quite a few 50fps channels which I know many people find desirable. However, no matter how much I try and convince myself I really can’t see any difference. Does anyone have any sports/channels they think really benefit from being 50fps and can definitely tell the difference? I even tried the sports news channels thinking the scrolling text would be smoother but looks just the same on both. Also I checked the FPS is correct and not just labelled incorrectly and they are all correct Thanks
