TVIP S 605 or Formuler Z7/8

How do you do fellow kids?

I post asking for help in choosing between these two boxes, the TVIP S 605 or the Formuler Z7/8 mainly for watching IPTV via Android TV apps or if available middlewares.

Being able to watch FHD and 4K is a must, must have ethernet is also a must.

I ditched the Xiaomi Box 4K because of the steady bluetooth bug (it disconnects and you can't use it until you pull out the plug). I will be getting rid of the MAG 256 due to the portal banning by INFOMIR.

Ps. being able to record iptv streaming is a bonus!

All input is welcome.

German Court Granted Injunctions against Distributors of Formuler Set-Top Boxes

https://i.redd.it/dzlsh8nuwbd21.png

On January 16th, 2019, the District Court in Bremen, Germany (Landgericht Bremen) granted preliminary injunctions against two distributors selling Formuler set-top boxes in Germany. The contested Formuler devices, among other things, emulated the MAC addresses of Infomir’s MAG set-top boxes. The Court prohibited the distributors from selling Formuler and other devices that emulated Infomir’s MAG set-top boxes.

Such emulation allowed Formuler set-top boxes to exploit Infomir’s renowned Stalker Middleware and Ministra TV platform. These infringing devices also posed a risk to normal operation of MAG set-top boxes connected to the same network.

‘The Bremen District Court ruling confirms the importance of the respect for intellectual property and fair dealing in business. We welcome the willingness of the Courts to deal with such subtle technological disputes that arise in the European Union’, said Viktor Artiushchenko, Infomir Commercial Director.

Infomir is not going to stop there. The Company is going to avail of all remedies available to secure stable and reliable operation of its products and protect its rights from such infringements.

About Infomir

Infomir is a group of Companies with over twenty years of experience in hi-tech devices development and manufacturing. The Company’s key features are a full production cycle (product design, industrial design, manufacturing and software development) and a worldwide service support.

The Company provides a customer-oriented approach and always offsets a demand of each user.

Box Recommendations?

I currently have a $50 H96 Android box and it sucks. I use ProgTV on it, and worked this way for a few months; I'm sick of it now. It's slow, not to mention it crashes time to time and my box keeps restarting.

I'm thinking about making the switch a box with mag support (Not a real mag box due to Infomir's anti-piracy filters).

I still want to have my other apps like Netflix and Hulu, so I'm contemplating on what kind of box to purchase.

Drop some recommendations

Is it normal for IPTV to quit after a while?

My family likes leaving the TV on at night but the IPTV always stops or closes during the night. Is this just a normal IPTV thing? Happens with different providers/apps. Anyway to stop it?

Questions about IPTV, best box and the ability to record

Still learning when it comes to the IPTV universe and had a few questions. (Newbie like questions so be gentle.)

DVR questions:

It seems that the majority of boxes do not allow recording. The Formuler Z7+/8 and XPL3000 seem to be at the top of the list as far as 'best in breed' THAT ALLOW RECORDING. True?

And in order to watch 1 stream and record another, guessing I need to find an IPTV provider that allows multiple connections? I'm fine with paying for extra connections.

EPG questions:

Which of those two boxes above will give me the least headaches when it comes to an EPG? (Or, is there a dark horse box that has an amazing EPG and allows recording that I'm not aware of?

Box questions:

Looking for a box that has an excellent EPG, great DVR functionality and great support from the vendor. I know a lot of these boxes run Android and have clients for Plex, Netflix, etc but I'm not going to play games on it or do anything other than use it for IPTV and recording shows.

I also need a box that has really good 5Ghz wifi support.

Thanks

Problem with my MAG 254 and new sub - hardware or software issue?

I've had my MAG 254 for the past 2 years and used it daily with no issues. I needed to change providers this year and since I have the box is taking an eternity to load the portal, when it does the box is unresponsive to the remote control for a couple of seconds before responding to each click, and the channel lists won't load. I've updated software and tried resetting the router without success.

The new provider tells me no one else is having issues and they're pretty sure it's nothing at their end (the new package has more channels and a lot more VOD than I had previously - I don't think this should really make a difference but worth mentioning), so my question is whether this is a hardware issue with the box, but it seems odd that it has happened immediately after changing providers. I had a days trial with the provider with no issues.

Any ideas?

Ran across this Android TV app and it's incredible: TiviMate IPTV video player OTT

TiviMate IPTV video player OTT

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ar.tvplayer.tv

It reminds me of the Live Channels app for android tv except it works without needing another tool (TVIrl) and it's somehow even faster! You should give it a shot if you have an android TV box in need of a clean and fast guide.

This is not a referral. I am newer to the IPTV game but I have been evaluating them all (services/apps) and this one stands out. Good luck!

Update:

Apparently they have a subreddit too!

Help! MYIPTV apk.

So I've tried a few providers in the past, got a new Android box at Xmas, and decided to try out a new provider. Found a guy in my area on FB offering 1 year for £25 (UK obviously) he provided this MYIPTV app which I've used with other providers, and apart from the odd channel, it worked flawlessly.

Two weeks later, no network connection on all channels and trying to refresh the EPG. Head back to FB to inform the guy, and his account is deleted... All the messages are gone.

So what I'm asking is, obviously he never built this app, (I'm assuming he stored his providers playlist link into the app and gave me a username and password) so is there a way I can backwards engineer the APK to find the provider and find out if this is just a temporary problem or I've been done?

The app still says I'm subscribed till 2020.

UPDATE: Since posting, I've emailed the address I sent money to and got a reply. Basically someone fucked up on Facebook promoting the service and had their accounts removed, and their server blocked? Anyway they sent me a new app (linked to their new server) and when I signed in, everything worked again.

Thanks to all the users who helped me backwards engineer the android app! Interesting stuff!

Are there telltale signs you are at your connection limit?

I'm having issues with IPTV playing on my bedroom Firestick, but only after I watch first on my Smart TV. Makes me wonder if I'm running into a connection limit issue?

A little more background info. I have 2 connection sub. Both clients are Smart IPTV, on a FireStick and a Samsung TV. If I only start watching on 1 of these, it will stream just fine all day long.

Problems start if I watch some TV on the Samsung, shut it down and then go to the FireStick. Plenty of time it will work just great. A small percentage of the time, I get nothing but problems. Or rather a common problem. I open Smart IPTRV on the FireStick, it will start playing then within a few minutes the picture will freeze while audio continues. If I do antything at this point, it will just never connect. I've stopped the app, restored the FireStick, nothing at all will get content to play. Throughout other apps on the FireStick work flawless. Oh and I've also reset the stick to factory and reset it up.

Any ideas?

Multi cast on LG WebOS.

Hi all, I browsed internet for best iptv suit to my needs and I have found out that may be a little problem setting up iptv. Below is the question and answer from one of the website.

Q: The channels work in VLC Player, but does not work in SIPTV App? A: If you have webOS or Tizen TVs and your streams are multicast, the UDP to HTTP function has to be turned on in app's settings and to be set up on your router.

So my question is how do I know if my streams are multicast, and do anyone know how to set up on UK talktalk super router, or example how to do it on any router.

I would be glad for any advices, Kind regards.

Why Do I Get The Feeling IPTV Is Having a Quiet Moment Before a Storm

Waaaaay too many users are signing up to IPTV now that i have a strange feeling something catastrophic will happen that will make everything collapse.

I don't know what that is yet but i'm almost certain the big companies are working on something behind the scenes and it will be a matter of time.

They somewhat let it slide when this community was in its infancy but now you have people making financial decisions based on the fact they can get IPTV cheaper. If this trend continues it could get out of hand.

I'm making plans to minimise my loss now for that eventuality, you better do too.

My dad bought a Dreamlink T2 IPTV box. I've never heard of this, can it replace my cable TV?

I live in NYC and the only channels my family really needs are MSG, YES, ESPN, and the basic national tv channels. My parents also like watching Indian television, so we have Verizon for the former and Dish for the latter. Can this Dreamlink thing really replace Verizon and Dish for us?

Looking for a new box

Hey I'm using Vader and service has been good ATM however I'm looking for a box that allows me to record one channel and watch another as well as having access to catch-up via the TV guide. I'm trying to find something with a nice clean and simple interface (similar to that of cable).

Does this exist, if not what's the closest thing to it?

Cheers
