Do you find a lot of good free apps for playing IPTV playlists on Apple TV like you can find on android TV? What are the best free IPTV apps?

Or do we have to use paid IPTV applications on tvOS?

Are IPTVX and iPlayTV on Apple TV as good as Tivimate, XCIPTV or Implayer on Android TV? Or do they have limitations?

I've recently got my IPTV set up and got a Formuler Z8 box. Streaming has been faultless with no buffering at all or issues.

I then heard about Nvidia Shield and a lot of debate so bought one too just to test and see if i should switch.

Both are brand new, both ethernet, with VPN and also tested without VPN. However, the Shield doesn't have good playback. Every minute or so the stream will stop for a split second, and sometimes it will repeat the last few seconds as it continues. Also tried different channels too.

I have tried increasing buffer size to very large as well. Still the same issues.

None of these issues exist on the Formuler Z8 box. Do you think it is because this is a dedicated IPTV box? Everyone seems to say it's poor spec but then it plays so perfectly. Any thoughts on this as I am about to return the Nvidia Shield

Does anyone know which button allocation/ set up to key bind for exiting the menu and going back to full screen view?

Issue I have is, when the guide is up and say I've selected chanel 4 and it's playing on the right and the menu is still up but now I've scrolled 5 pages down what key bind do I set so I can just exit the menu from wherever I'm at and switch to full screen and watch what was playing on the right without going all the way back to that chanel to select it?

I don't know anything about UDPxy other than it converts multicast streams to unicast (for Plex compatibility). I would like to see it in action, if possible (just for pure curiosity). So, I installed and configured UDPxy; and, adding it to xTeVe.

How do I know which channels from my IPTV provider use multicast? Would this be a replacement using FFmpeg on xTeVe? I currently use FFmpeg successfully in xTeVe to send the same streams to multiple Plex clients.

Just got my MAG524 device, vendor was Infomir and I never got the default password. Any suggestions on how I can resolve this issue?

So I manage my iptv for some friends and family with about 9 connections. Instead of giving the m3u code I get direct from my provider I use m3u4u and make separate ones for specific groups. However this does not limit their connections.

So in theory here is my goal

Let's say I have 10 connections.

I have 2 My family has 6 And my friends have 2

Now to prevent my friends from giving the m3u to another friend therefore taking up someone else's connection, how can I limit the connections per m3u line

So I would have 3 separate m3u lines created from the same playlist from m3u4u one for friends family and for me. Now to put a limit on those m3u lines to the specified connections.

I was looking at iptv management software. Does anyone know any that would work with what I'm looking for?

I am well aware of the i shouldn't give it to people I don't trust or people that I think would give the code out. That's not my problem. I am also aware it's not even the smartest thing to manage for friends and family. Again that's not something I'm asking.

I use TiviMate. There are toggle options for updating the EPG on starting the app and when the playlist changes. Which, if either, should I use?

Hello fellow redditors. I goofed today and must have changed a setting on my stb umu pro app and I now have no sound on any channels. Can anybody help me? I don't want to reset the device and I can't quite figure it out.

When using a VPN on my Formuler box, it ONLY works if I select a UK based IP. If I choose any other country I get a 401 error.

However, it works fine on a computer and other devices no matter what country I choose.

Is this a common issue, maybe it's an issue with the Formuler Z8 box? Or the tivimate software?

I'm new to IPTV. Using a Formuler Z8 box. Got a VPN - tried with this and without, no real difference. Bandwidth is adequate.

In VLC the channel will play for around a minute and then skip to the next one. I can go back but it does it again.

Using tivimate, the channel play but then every 40-50 seconds it freezes for a second and then continues.

I've set buffering to "LONG". Thinking that if I set it to buffer a lot of time it may avoid the issue, but it still happens.

Internal networking is good - all connected via ethernet.

Any thoughts here? Provider seem good and receptive. They were recommended but it is my first experience with IPTV. Please DM if you have any recommendations of others.

Anyone having issues with duplex player, my playlist is no longer working but still does on different apps?

I think its is formatted correctly #EXTM3U header, saved as M3U8 file. The links in the file work individually in browser and VLC . TIA

Have been using a MAG 322 box for 4 years with an IPTV subscription. I'm reading now that MAGs are no longer a great choice, which I'm in some ways relieved about as I can't find them in the country I'm based.

Looking for a replacement. Formulers don't seem to be available here either (in Vietnam), but there are a lot of alternatives.

So I use the STB emulator app and have it hooked up for my firestick and android tv. Currently I'm only using the firestick as my main one. But i want it also on my living room tv, since it's wired the performance is much better rather then me hooking the firestick there. Is there anyway for me to use the same server on 2 devices? I will not be using both devices at same time.

Is there any real consequence as to streaming an account with 1 connection on another device at the same time? (2 devices total) I have 300mbs-900mbs internet so it can handle it if that is the issue. I signed up for a free trial from a provider where it says the max connection is 1 but was still able to watch the same exact thing on another device at the same time. Im new to IPTVS so im just kinda confused.

Just bought a new Formuler Z8 Pro... From time to time there is a quick flash on the tv and then a loud popping sound that comes through my sound bar and rumbles the bass..Its quite alarming. Maybe happens once an hour or so.. Never happened with my old Mag (Infomir) which was hooked to the same TV. All connections are tight.....So either the iptv service not functioning well with the new box or a problem with the new box? Any thoughts... Everything else is great.

I'm new to this but here goes based on the information I got.

The channels/providers I want seem to be in the portal/stbemu side of things and not on the m3u.

Firestick even with an otg cable + USB stick can only do pvr on m3u. All apps I tried didn't work. I contacted a provider and they told me these set top boxes come with special software and I need to buy one. Without it, I get no features such as catch up, pvr. At least on the portal services.

I have had 2 providers suggest the formuler z alpha. Which is an Android box. Same as Amazon cube but this box has "special" software. Shame I can't put that software on any android box.

I don't know which box to get. Z alpha formuler? Mag series? I'm very overwhelmed if someone can make sense of anything im saying please let me know.

Any suggestions or tips welcomed.

I'm new to this IPTV stuff and gave been reading as much as I can.

The service provider I use seems to use stbemu with portal/Mac address. Basically they don't have an m3u.

I got firestick 4k + OTG cable to recognize my USB drive. Yes I formatted it.

In stbemu I don't know how to record shows? There is no option.

Do I need a better app? Any easy app I can test the pvr function?
