Help with buffering / weird problem

Hi guys. I'm trying to fix a problem but i don't know what could it be.

I have a provider (flawless). And it used to work really good almost all the time. I used it mainly on Siptv and Kodi while i wait for a my MAG250 to get here. But 99% on the time on Siptv.

2 weeks ago it started to buffer. A lot. I used to be able to watch the FHD channels no problem, but now it is a miracle if i can watch the regular hd channels without problems :(

I just changed ISP (yesterday) and i should have no problem with 100 Mb (download) but it still buffers tremendously.

Just by coincidence i tried their webplayer and it works fine. Even the FHD channels work like they should.

What can be causing the problem?

Any help is very appreciated.

Thanks!

How does iptv providers providing m3u Playlist work?

I'm curious to know. Iptv providers who have url such as www.domain.tld/get.php?username=reddit&password=reddit&type=m3u

It downloads a m3u file which I can load locally, but if I no longer pay on the service, I'd still have the m3u stream? What would make the m3u file no longer work?

Looking for a provider which would have an EPG

Hello all,

I'm new to IPTV, just searching around and have a fair idea how it works, but every provider I see, I'm not entirely sure what the actual product looks like - e.g if I access via roku or kodi, i have to manually search for channels, until I find a good one etc...

My question is, is there a provider that would have an EPG like Comcast or sky or some other cable/satellite company would.

I'm open to using a roku or buying a dedicated android box, but basically what I'm looking for is, I can turn on my TV and then with a remote I can scroll down a list of channels and find the one I want, like you would with sky or Comcast.

A minor note, I'm based in the USA but would like access to Irish/British TV - but the main channels I watch in the states are HBO, Fox Sports, and the news channels .

Can anyone recommend me something, or does such a thing exist?

Many Thanks

Want to switch to a Mag or Dreamlink t1 but my biggest question is…

I have IPVanish as my VPN and have really been happy with it..

I currently have a Mi box and couple fire sticks and had no issues installing and running the IPVanish client for these boxes. I use these boxes for non IPTV Kodi Apps and it works great!!!

But want to get a dedicated box just for IPTV..

The Mag being Linux I am not even sure if IPVanish has a compatible client.

The Dreamlink T1, since it’s Android based, the Android IPVanish client should work. But since you cant side load to the Dreamlink, I am not sure how I would get it on there to install it.

I saw one post where they said if there is an App you want on your Dreamlink, just ask the Dreamlink Dev’s and they will get it out there on the Dreamlink market you have access to..

I think I would really like a Mag if I knew I could get a VPM going on it.. But leaning now to the Dreamlinkl T1 to be my IPTV box.

Anyone have experience with any of this? What VPN to you guys run on your Mag?

Choosing an IPTV receiver and server

Hello,

I just upgraded my internet from 8 Mbps to 50 Mbps and I realized that I want to switch from my pay TV provider to IPTV. I first started searching up a few servers and found that SoftIPTV looks promising, if you have any feedback or suggestions please tell me. I would like to have American channels mainly and the middle eastern pay TV channels like OSN. I then started looking for a set top box and got really confused. I am looking for a set top box that has the best IPTV interface possible with DVR capabilities, and ideally program booking. I am also looking for a box that also connects to satellite with card sharing capabilities. WiFi is not a concern for me because I want to have a wired connection to the box. I would really appreciate any and all suggestions. Thank you!

I would like to have proper explanation on why Kodi is not so good for iptv

Very often when someone complains about buffering issues or picture quality of a particular iptv service they get an answer such as "Try using Perfect Player", "try playing the video in VLC" or "Buy a Mag, Kodi wasn't designed for iptv"

I understand that a Mag can be more user friendly, but I don't see the reason why it would be better to have less buffering issues or picture quality.

From what I can see a Mag is just a Linux "computer" with locked OS. When it comes to playing the video all what the computer will need to do is open a link, be able to read the content of the m3u8 file and play the videos contained in each channel using the needed decoders.

I would like to know the reaons why Kodi would be worst at doing this than a Mag

PS: saying that a Mag was designed for this but Kodi not isn't a valid reason

Trying to decide between two providers

I'm new to all of this and I've been doing a bit of research. I'm thinking of trying out two providers, but was wondering what you all thought about them.

Ipguys.in

and

Softiptv.com

I've seen people talk about both on here, and I'm just wondering what some of the pros and cons of each are. The cost is negligible, and the channel selection seems similar enough.

Which has more American channels I'm probably familiar with? Which service is more stable? Which has better quality streams and a better interface?

Newbie hardware recommendations

I am looking for advice on what box I should consider purchasing to start using an IPTV provider.  My biggest requirement is that I need to convince my SO that this is a viable alternative to cable.   Some sort of program guide is a must.   I don't need 4K but I want a box that will be somewhat future proofed.   Android box with Kodi?   Mag box? Others?

Searching for German and American IPTV

Hello there,

I'd like to use IPTV for mostly German and American IPTV - so not only German Sky Channels, also standard Channels like Pro7, RTL, Sat1 etc. preferred in HD quality. American Channels should be similar to DirecTV offer. I already tried RapidIPTV and GlowIPTV, they are the same I think. Just don't like the focus on quantity instead of quality. Had many buffers

If anyone knows about a service and can give me a hint here, thank you very much!! :)

Alert // Stay away from OrbitIPTV.net

I'm new to the ''world'' of IPTV, so I found orbitiptv.net here on reddit.

I got my test account for 24h which worked fine for me and decided to subscribe for minimum period they offerd (three months).

They offered few options for the payment: with credit card, Netteler or Skrill.

So, to protect my credit card data I decided to make payment with Skrill.

Now, it passed 5 days after the payment and whenever I start a chat with them requesting my account they start ignoring me.

Save you time and money and stay away from OrbitIPTV.

Some expirience reddit users should remove them from links here on reddit.

Kodi & Proper IPTV Setup (including IPGuys)

Folks! My apologies if this comes off a bit rude, but I'm just trying to do what I can to help everyone here.

It seems like every weekend, I get flooded with PM's from people asking how to get "____ service working Kodi". Literally, like clockwork.

In this post I'm going to try to address some of those concerns, and show you how YOU can get your kodi work. But first, my disclaimer..............

Where KODI Fails: KODI DOES NOT SUPPORT IPTV. KODI DOES NOT SUPPORT VIDEOS ON DEMAND. KODI DOES NOT SUPPORT TIMESHIFTING. KODI EPG DOES NOT WORK ON ALL BUILDS/SYSTEMS.

What Kodi DOES do: Kodi will stream IPTV Channels, such as those offered by IPguys. Kodi EPG works out of the box on Windows.

Kodi will only connect to a stalker supported server such as IPguys through the use of a beta addon. This addon is buggy, and very limited. If you configure it correctly, it will at least let you watch tv.

Please follow this video TO THE "T" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0FCJRsKkwU (PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE MAC ADDRESS at the :18 seconds mark n the video)

It is recommended you configure the stalker PVR addon in advance to paying your reseller. That way, if a problem comes up, you'll know in advance, saving you potentially lost money or having the request a refund.

MAC INFO: A mac address is basically a form of a serial number, that the reseller will use to activate your device. You must configure one within the Stalker PVR addon to receive service, and this must be UNIQUE.

There are 2 options, you may create your own MAC address (00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX), or you may let your reseller know that you will be using in Kodi in advance, and request they provide you with one (thank you /r/baryard0 for this advice).

To generate a random MAC address automatically, please click here: https://www.hellion.org.uk/cgi-bin/randmac.pl?scope=global&oui=00%3A1A%3A79&type=unicast

It doesn't matter if youre on a firestick, shield, other android box, THIS MAC ADDRESS HAS TO BE IN THIS FORMAT. Anything else will be rejected.

The mac address has to come from the stalker addon itself, NOT your networking device.

If you can't find your stalker mac address, I highly recommend paying the $80 and buying a box such as a mag254 that will work as soon as you plug it in, with very little tampering needed.

I hope this helps some of you out. Feel free to upvote this so we can try to get it stickied :)

If I missed anything, please let me know in the comments and I will update this post.

Thanks!

VCarib.IN from IPGuys / Vivostream

EDIT: I asked their support how to fix "unable to load guide" in email, and the email I got back was "Fuck off". gg

A bit confused. I tried to look for IPGuys because of the recommendation from here, followed some links, and saw VCarib.IN offered for $5. Bought a month to try it out, but now I don't know how to set it up. Please help.

Setting this up on Kodi on my PC for now. What's my MAC address that I need to email these people? How do I eventually move this to my MXQ box that has Kodi?

As long as they provide good service I dont mind. But why do they pretend to be different providers? That's not nice....
