It seems that monthly cost is always somewhere south of (less than) $25 US. Am finding it funny that many try to push it lower. Not counting internet connectivity cost this is what you might spend to compare to IPTV services.

1. numerous free old shows on Pluto etc.
2. Netflix less than $10.
3. Hulu (no live, no DVR) $5
4. Redbox $5 random
5. LOCAST $5
6. local public library free dvd
7. over the air antenna broadcast free
8. watch sports teams at the local pub/bar might cost for a beverage

Point is to just compare it all and to not get too frustrated with poor random IPTV given good alternatives.

I am buying MI box and it comes with SO Player. Up till now i have been used to entering server name in URL for my mag 254 box. However SO Player asks for some codes.

I am confused. My provider has no clue about codes.

Can someone please explain me difference between server name that most iptv provider gives out and this codes that I am just learning about which is required for SO player?

Can i setup my traditional server URL with SO Player?

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem where when you try to search for a channel using the search feature on the app, it only lets you type in 2 letters and then the keyboard goes away and doesn’t let you finish typing the channel name. My box its a M8S Pro...

There's a site to make a custom m3u playlist (off your providers m3u)... but I cannot find it for the life of me. It was free. I posted about it here a couple times but reddit's search feature sucks and I can't find the post.

I thought it was like m3u-list or something... but that doesn't seem to be it.

xTeVe taken logos from XMLTV instead to keep logos from m3u file.

This is nonsense, it would make sense if it takes logos where it can if for example m3u is missing it but XMLTV doesn't, but priority for me is m3u and ONLY m3u.

I was watching a youtube video and was told that you could pause live tv with a formuler z8 box and take a phone call or make a sandwich.

Is this true?

I have an nvidia shield with tivimate and a firestick 4k, and I am not able to do this. If it can be done with a formuler z8, this will convince me to purchase one. How bout the Z7? Can it pause live iptv for a few minutes?

I have a stable/solid IPTV provider, they're convinced there's no issue at their end.

I use Nvidia shield TV, ethernet connection to internet (70mbps service). I still get IPTV buffering issues often enough to be irritating (no issues with Netflix or other apps used to stream shows).

I use Tivitmate pro but find even if I switch to my IPTV providers native app - same issues, same channels.

When buffering occurs I can jump into a speedtest and there seems to be no issue on speed.

I recently changed routers, no real change.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions.

I have few channel duplicates as backup, something got messed up in Plex so I had to reinstall Tuner, now I miss channel duplicates because it won't let me use same EPG for them.

Any workaround?

Also, almost all channels were automatically mapped hut everything is broken. xTeVe is set perfectly but Plex just messed up everything, have to manually map EPG to every single channel, this is insane!

We use Kodi with the Stalker STB plugin alongside a vpn. I switched from PIA to mullvad and configured it to use WireGuard, but it won't connect. Same with my phone when i use mullvad and STBEmu Pro.

When i use OpenVPN it works. Is this normal or and issue with out provider?

My iptv provider dont have ant epg for channels.

I wish to have epg at least for some of channels.

So I know there is a Youtube TV sub but they are very strict regarding acct sharing or gps spoofing. All of a sudden my fake gps app is not working anymore and YTV is detecting my vpn

Hi everyone I started to use smart stb on my Samsung tv and works perfectly except by the fact that once in a while it suddenly goes back to the channel list... idk what is causing it maybe internet is going down for a millisecond and then it goes to the channel list? Idk, but is there any way to prevent that or other apps that I recommend on Samsung tv? Mine is old so idk if I have all apps

1- Do I need an app with the mi-box or I could enjoy watching the IPTV still with the box alone?

2- Do I need a smart TV for the app if I decide to use one? Is the app installed on the box or the TV? Because I’m not decided for sure if I’ll buy a smart TV or just a regular TV. The box should be able to provide the smartness I need to watch IPTV, YouTube ..etc, wouldn’t it?

3- Any one running mi-box with smart or not TVs with or without app, please give details and appreciation?

I watch occasionally TV, like foreign channels and a lot of time on my laptop I watch YouTube or sometimes find some websites that have some video content. So, I’m don’t know about gaming nor have an interest in that. Currently, I have a MAG 254 hooked to an older TV (not smart) that I use with an IPTV subscription. It’s okay, the channels sometimes freeze and the MAG box sometimes needs reloading ..etc..

Now, I decided to get a mi box (I know there are a lots of other options like Nvidea, formuler, firestick etc) and app (Tivimate/MytvOnline/XCIPTV/IPTV extreme), but first let me expose what I understood; the app is not necessary but it’s to create/beatify/organize a user interface for the channels list.

Edit: I just discovered that the USB antenna on my MAG254 is an RT5370 150Mbps that works only on 2.4 GHz, it doesn’t look that it supports 5 Ghz. I’ll try to get something that picks up the faster wifi and hope that could improve the streaming.

Edit: this is an update (oct-2020). I received the Xiaomi mi box and so far so good. Installation was fine. Switching and connecting to both frequencies is fine. Don’t notice issues for capturing the wifi signal at home. The remote is smooth and responsive. Compared to the MAG, I can’t say if it’s better or worse. For my application (IPTV only), the mi box is good. At the end, for IPTV experience, and to be able to enjoy; It all comes down to the server quality. I didn’t a couple 2-3 tests of different servers and picked the one I thought was less freezing. The only issue I noticed is that menu on the android mi box is different of the MAG254. I mean the way the channels are laid out, but I believe it’s related to the server and the provider?! On the MAG I see the possibility of password protecting some channels like adult channels, but that not available on the mi box.

Guys I have a Dreamlink T3 and purchased the GTV-BT1 remote. It works fine but I did notice that the T3 does not have access to the Formuler remote application. Does anyone know if it's coming to the T3 ?
