Hi, are there any decent iOS apps, which will allow IPTV content to be cast to a tv?

First, I’m not an expert, just trying to learn more to find the best use of everything, and thanks for your patience reading this …

I watch occasionally TV, like foreign channels and a lot of time on my laptop I watch YouTube or sometimes find some websites that have some video content. So, I’m don’t know about gaming nor have an interest in that.

That said, I currently have a MAG254 hooked to an older TV (not smart) that I use with an IPTV subscription. It’s okay, the channels sometimes freeze and the MAG box sometimes needs reloading ..etc..

Now, I decided to get a mi box (I know there are a lots of other options like Nvidea, formuler, firestick etc) and app (Tivimate/MytvOnline/XCIPTV/IPTV extreme), but first let me expose what I understood; the app is not necessary but it’s to create/beatify/organize a user interface for the channels list.

1- Do I need an app with the mi-box or I could enjoy watching the IPTV still with the box alone?

2- Do I need a smart TV for the app if I decide to use one? Is the app installed on the box or the TV? Because I’m not decided for sure if I’ll buy a smart TV or just a regular TV. The box should be able to provide the smartness I need to watch IPTV, YouTube ..etc, wouldn’t it?

3- Any one running mi-box with smart or not TVs with or without app, please give details and appreciation? My TV is a Sony 42” KDL-42EX440. So, my combination would be: Mibox/Tivimate/KDL42EX440.

I used m3u4u which I ended up assigning TVG Id from their epg section for some channels on my iptv service. I want to know is there a different service that offers the same functionality for free or paid, but mostly free? Since some channels are not listed on m3u4u

As the title says, I am constantly getting error 429 when trying to load an EPG from an m3u4u url.

I can get the playlist to work ok, the EPG keeps throwing the 429 error and I'm not too sure what it means/why it won't load the EPG.

Any help would be amazing!

Hello, I'm wanting to get either the Firestick 4K for Fire Tv Cube (2nd gen).

The vast majority say to just go with the firestick as they've seen issues with buffering/software related issues on the cube. But, I think all these issues are related to the 1st gen of the cube.

With prime day, the cube is on sale. Which do you think is better for the well this subreddit? Price isn't the issue for me since the sale brings the price between the firestick 4k and Cube fairly close.

Random question. Is there an equivalent to iptv for music? Some sort of subscription service which provides organised music libraries?

Few channels are missing logos despite I can see logos in xTeVe configuration. How do I force refresh logos? Can't see them in both Plex Android and Plex Windows 10.

xTeVe m3u link is not working in any IPTV player. I reinstalled my Windows 10 month ago and I have installed xTeVe immediately back then but I configured it now and figured out channels work only in Plex while m3u link is not working.

My Laptop and Smart TV are on same network, Laptop on WiFi and Smart TV on LAN. Why TiviMate can't load xTeVe m3u link?

Hi. I use IPTV with STBEmu on Android TV. Works fine. Trying to use it on my iPhone. Tried Ministra player. Did not works since it needs user/pw. Tried iSTB which wouldn’t connect (but did allow me to select my MAC address). Then I found iTV player which did work. Somewhat buggy, but it worked. On Stbemu i enulatw mag 254.

What are people using? What does work?

Has anyone used these for a subscription? I am looking for a secure/anonymous way to sign up and was considering buying a giftcard to use. I have never used that service so wondered how it works

I've been on the search for an Ethernet adapter for my firestick to bolster my connection, but looking at a few third party Ethernet adapters for the firestick many of them state that the adaptor does not work at all with VPNs

Does any one have one of these attached to their firestick? Is it the same case with an original ethernet adaptor provided by Amazon?

Does the vpn work with IPTV with one of these attached? Or would it be better to just setup a WiFi extender and just use WiFi.

Note. My WiFi signal is strong but on occasion my firestick disconnects from the WiFi

Looking for a solid budget box that has a remote with numbers on it. There are solid choices for a low price but none of them offer a remote with numbers, unless if theres a way to use 3rd party remotes? Appreciate the advice!

I have this box from a provider and it works great. However, I'd like to setup an App on Nvidia Shield. Is there a place within this box where I can access the m3u url to enter into an IPTV app on the shield?

Anyone know if I can change the guide view? Right now it shows as blocks for each channel, without showing what is currently playing.

Anyone know the pros and cons of the two? Looking to get a Firestick 4k (for cheap given its prime day soon!) but is the UI that much slower than the Z8 which is a dedicated box from my understanding?

They both have similar RAM and CPU cores so what makes the Z8 better, is it just the faster wifi? I want to know if it's worth spending £100 more on the Z8.

I recently bought a MAG254 at a local auction and have never used one. When I go into the settings it prompts me for a password. I tried doing a factory reset but still get the same prompt. Is there a default password or a way to reset it? Thanks for any help

Guys, my iptv provider stopped sharing m3u url fearing the worst. He only provides the xciptv app and I'm missing tivimate and the ease of using it. It's there Anyway I can extract m3u url from xciptv which could be used in tivimate. Would appreciate some help.

I have LEGAL IPTV provider and t has it's own app but I am bigger fan of TiviMate, I can record, it has reminders, multiscreen etc.

When I sniff url I have both server and token but few days later tokens changes for all channels so I need to sniff stream url again and then put it in m3u and sync everything.

Is there a way to create script or proxy server or anything similar to have tokens up to date automatically?

Something like xTeVe for Windows, I need to keep PC turned on to watch channels in Plex for Android, is possible as I asked to create some script and run it locally on my PC so I can have static m3u links in my m3u and in TiviMate?

Basically to trick may provider's IPTV app that I am watching channel via their app instead of another app. I am just trying to watch same legal content in different app with more functions, that's all.

I have IPTV Smarters on my LG TV WebOS and was trying to set parental controls to hide some bouquets/channel groups.

However the app keep asking me to enter and confirm a pin, which I am doing, but it doesn’t go thru or gives me an option to lock the channel groups.

Any suggestion?

Hi guys. I have used wireshark to inspect my network traffic and I have noticed that my IPTV provider hosts all my channels in a datacenter in Miami. I have ExpressVPN. My question is: to reduce lag/buffer as much as possible, would it be better to connect to an ExpressVPN server closest to me, or one in Miami?

I have a Sony tv which can run iptv services thinking about switch to Samsung Q80T, does Samsung have app available to DL like the Sony android tv? If not will stick to the Sony 900H. Also quick question does any of these high end TV models make a difference if you only use it for IPTV no gaming.

As I was using the site, I noticed I need to add my username and password to the URL which I understand is needed. But, how secure is it within M3U4U? Has anyone had any issues with their login credentials being compromised in any way?
