Does Emby normally take forever to load/refresh an xmltv file? I've had it set up...and now I'm having a lot of trouble.

It seems a lot of IPTV providers have been down a lot much more recently. Does anyone have any insight into this? Specifically EPIC. Any updates?

Can someone tell me the difference between the BuzzTv XPL3000 (Android 7.1, 2 GB RAM and 8 GB memory) and the XPL3000M (Android 7.1, 2 GB ram and 8 GB memory). The specs look the same, except the box itself is different and the XPL3000M is a little bit more expensive, so I’m wondering which one I should buy.

In the past I used SageTV, Windows Media Center as PVR and I remember it was rock solid with STB Boxes.

Right now I can't find a reliable Android IPTV client with PVR support. IPTV Extreme fails me to record every time, ProgTV seems very unreliable.

Someone mentioned NextPVR and Emby. I decided to try Emby. I found it easy to setup, but recording needs a licence. I really like the guide and interface so decided to pay for a month $4.99 to test it. I scheduled a recording and it actually recorded everything fine while I was watching something else. I used Vaders.

Last night I scheduled a recording and it was totally missed. Same thing ProgTV usually does. I still have to look at the logs to try to find out why it did not record.

Now I was just looking into NextPVR. It seems to be free, so I might just test it out since it also seems to work with m3u playlists and xml files for EPG. Does anyone know how reliable NextPVR is with IPTV, does it support more than 1 xml link for guide?

Also does anyone have feedback on other PVR software with EPG that works with IPTV m3u/xml links?

Any recommendations on the few free available options?

Has king-box been down for everyone today? Can't see any channels on my mag and onmy phone gse iptv.

I'm a complete newbie here and just started on this stuff yesterday, but I'm pretty technical so I have my setup on it's way. I signed up with Helix and was wondering what is the best way to figure out what resolution the channels are?

I've seen some listed as HD, but only get 480p while on some others I get 1080p; completely varies.

It would suck if I had to go through all the channels (using emby to figure out the resolution currently) one by one to figure out what resolution they are so I can figure out which one I'd like to keep and etc.

Will I get in trouble if I purchase a trial subscription every once in a while instead of going for a long duration option?

I have searched for a solid 4 hours on /r/iptvreviews, /r/iptvresellers, /r/iptv and have come up with, yep, nothing. There is no one iptv that stood out and shined like, "pick me, pick me!" Everyone seems to love and hate a same service. So I am curious. Which do you have, why, and how is it? I just want something that will primarily give me stable sports streams along with some TV. I like nat geo, discovery, history, and kids channels. What am I looking for reddit?

I am using the Rii controller to operate my Z7+, is there a guide that indicates which buttons do what?

Like how do I know what the record button is or any other button for that matter?

Pretty new to IPTV. I currently have it set up on an android box.

I am looking to upgrade to a decent piece of hardware, and am wondering which would be best, a MAG box or a Nvidea Shield.

The Nvidea would have Kodi, which I use as a media center for my movies on hard drive.

Is a MAG box (or other dedicated IPTV box) a better idea?

Any recommendations appreciated.

I've been using the SmartIPTV app on my LG C7. I have a 120Mbs internet connection. I'm using Ultrabox and generally happy. I do get buffering at times and started wondering if a dedicated box would be better than the running through SmartIPTV app.

My thinking is that a dedicated box has a lot more built in memory than my LG C7 and would therefore allow for smoother playback???

I'm looking to buy a new tv... and one of the things is that I need IPTV in it. I thought it specifically required an LG or Samsung for the TV to support it, but I now understand that it can be streamed from other devices. so I could consider other brands...

First, is it better to stream directly from the TV or from a device?

if it is better from a device... I have a Chromecast gen 2... would it work?

if not, what other similar (not expensive devices) would stream IPTV?

I'm scouring the internet for facts on what type of set top box will yield the best results for me and why. I'm not really getting solid answers, just a bunch of recommendations without much thought behind them. Also, has anyone tried the smart iptv app on a samsung smart tv and if so, does it work well or just ok.

I set a timer to record a game yesterday on iptv extreme on my NVidia shield. I came home and it never even started to record. Does the NVidia shield going to sleep affect this? I saw where you can turn that off. Help me out please. I spent a lot of money on the NVidia shield and a 256gb usb Drive so I can record, and I want to get this to work.

What's everyone's initial thoughts on it? My Gears subscription through Gabe was de-activated, so I'm wondering if I should just sub directly through Omar for Gears/Mayfair, or check out Gabe's new Ology IPTV.

FYI - there's a free 24 hour trial for it right now. Been using it about 30 minutes now to watch some Sunday Football. Been hopping around games on Sunday Ticket, getting way too much buffering and pixelation, and some channels won't even open ("playback error").

*Final Update* - After spending about 7-8 hours with the free trial, I'm really disappointed that Gabe would even release this product at its current level of development. It needs a ton of work. During the Sunday Night game, the stream was buffering so frequently I just shut it off. Also, the free trial was supposed to be for 24 hours, so I was surprised when I woke up early this morning and got error messages when logging into the app and none of the channels would load. I should've had access til about 2pm today if it was a 24 hour trial. I'm totally speculating here, but I did make a comment on Gabe's YouTube video for this service, nothing aggressive, just constructive criticism and pointing out the sub-par experience so far, and that may have led to my trial being cut short.

I'm not seeing the United States regional group on Vader apk or perfect player. Was it removed?
